2004 Suzuki Twin Peaks 700

I put my dvm on mA setting and hooked one end to my postive side of the battery and the other end to the positive wire, and read 25mA draw with the engine off, I unpluged all the fuses and componants one at a time and found the brake controller fuse gave me the best results, with it out it now has a draw of only 4mA which should be fine, I have replaced the brake on the cvt belt housing before due to water damage, is there a relay or brake controller box perhaps I should change, its killing my battery after a few days.

any suggestions?

I've honestly never cracked the book open. That's a good idea. I was thinking it might have a diagram but was leaning toward it didn't

also hoping someone here would have ran into this same issue before. I believe either a relay or the brake controller is shorted due to water intrusion

This is good info.  I just tried to back my LTA-700 KQ out of my shed and the batter was dead as well.  Now, much longer than your few days, but I wouldn't expect a brand new battery to drain even after a couple of weeks.  I'll have to try what you did to see what I have going on if anything.  It was dead a week ago I put a trickle charger on it for a couple of hours and it did start right up, I let it idle another 2 hrs or so as I shuttled wood from my pickup to my wood pile and then put it away.  a week later it was dead again.  This time I charged it over night and I set the battery and it fired right up.   volt meter was acting a little strange … across the battery terminals was reading 20v, then it just started dropping 19.7, 19.2, 18.9, 18.7....did have the patience to see where it bottomed out.  Changed the batteries in the VM and no change.

As the title says, I've got a crankcase full of fuel / oil to deal with and figure I'll just start from the top and move through the system.  Going to start with a rebuild of the petcock and then the carb if the problem isn't fixed with the petcock rebuild.  I figure I'll go with a Moose kit unless others with experience recommend another brand (All Balls, etc.)
      Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Just picked up an 84 LT185 ATV, I understand there was an accessory add  on that gave it electric start, anyone have any info about that kit?

Hi all.  New to the forum & quads.  Seems like a great place full of info.
I just recently picked up a 2005 Suzuki KingQuad LTA700.  I need a battery.  I've been reading up on conventional vs AGM types.  I have a Royal Distributing and Canadian Tire.  RD has 2 types avail for my year/Model a battery YTX16-BS CRANK $75, and BATTERY YTX20CH-BS YUASA $140.  Neither of these is the type from the manual FTZ16-BS.
from what I can tell... I think the only difference is the capacity with the $75 unit rated at 14 AH/10HR and the $140 unit rated at 18 AH/10HR ... which is the rating in the manual for the FTZ16-BS.  How much does this make a difference for nearly x2 the cost?
And about the models/type numbers.... what is important to know ... they all end in "-BS" but are the other details relevant or just manufacturer naming?
