1986 or 87 Honda 250sx ATC keep or sell

Recommended Posts

Long story short, I purchased an 86 or 87  ( the last year made) 250sx aTC about 5 years ago.  It was in pretty good original condition.  A friend helped me clean the tank, carb etc and it started right up.  I drove it around a few times and that was about that.  It is located in Northern California at a friend’s place and I reside in southern Ca about 500 miles away.

I’m debating going up and retrieving it but I kind of have too many projects to really enjoy it.  My rebuild on my 64 Land Rover is gonna tank space and priority.

i was wondering approx value of it as well as if it’s worth transporting down to Southern Ca for a larger market/better price?? If I remember correctly, everything is in pretty good shape, may need new toilets soon.

thoughts ?  I appreciate the input.

Honda 3 wheelers are in demand by mostly people that are fans of them. The value depends on the condition really. In good condition you can probably fetch $1500-2000 for it. It's a cool machine to have.

Looking to buy a banshee this Saturday. Guy has a sweet deal on one 3 hours from me. Bike sounds a bit rough to me but I’m not a 2 stroke or atv guy. This will be my first 2 stroke Any help would be much appreciated. I attached a video of the bike running. Please let me know if this a good deal at 3k.

So I fired up the quad the other day and let it idle for about 5-10 minutes and it ran great then died.

I go to check it. No lights on dash, nothing.

Check the main fuse and it's blown. Key's off/out. Put in another and it blows immediately.
Pull out the meter and see that on the non-load side of the fuse holder there's continuity to ground.
Check all obvious things. Wiring diagram. Connectors. Frayed wires. Bad grounds.
      Battery measures ok at 12.8v.
I'm dreading taking off the front plastics but I suspect the regulator/rectifier. The wiring diagram shows the red wire (the suspect wire) goes to the ignition switch and the regulator/rectifier.
Anyone else experience something similar and/or have any troubleshooting tips that may save me the grief of removing the plastics?

      Thanks much,
