Welcome to Quadcrazy @Guillaume Cliche That some implosion damage.  Have you had any backfires ? That reminds me of an old bike I had that the timing was off a bit and the valves were out of spec also.   The engine backfired and and did the same thing to my floats. I would start there and see if the timing is off. That would also cause an erratic idle.

I didn't mention it but i also rebuild the head at the machine shop with new valves set the timing correctly change the cam chain and put a new gasket kit for the top end and intake gasket. Is a bad fuel pump can cause that or a bad vacuum hose ?

Sounds like you did the right job! The only thing I could think of was the timing unless your onto something with the fuel pump.   But the floats imploded to me equal a huge suctioning condition which could be the result of a poor fuel condition I would guess as if the engine is starving for gas.

But have you heard any backfire or as if the engine farted? Lol bad choice of words but best way to describe it!  Like it kicked back in the opposite direction ?

Yes it looks like the engine is starving your not the first to tell me that and for the backfires the first time i changed the float i remember seeing one you think that it causes the float implode ? Well i think the next step would be the fuel pump or inspecting the vacuum hose

I'm trying to help a buddy out with his bike (he's not really on the internet or familiar with these forums) and I'll admit that I am not super familiar with the transmission and clutches in these bikes. I owned a Brute a few years ago, but never had an issue like this that I had to troubleshoot.
So basically my buddy bought a group lot of 650's to build one good bike out of. He got it all put together and has it running but when he pushes on the throttle the clutch doesn't engage till the RPM's are quite high and even when its moving it doesn't really speed up, almost seems like its in "limp mode". He's tried 2 different transmissions so I don't think that's the problem.
Is there any adjustment on the clutch engagement? Anything else I can tell him to look at? Let me know if you need anymore information if you think you can help.

I have a 2002 Kawasaki Prairie KVF 400 and im trying to figure out the actual float height... i have read 17mm +- 2mm, seen 13mm and 23mm... what is happening is it will start right up, rev a little and all is fine, when it warms and you put a load on it bogs down and sputters. no i don't have a manual
