It's a 400L has a model number of W948140. Outside of that I can't help much. This is my first ATV and just got it yesterday.

I have a few more questions. It started and ran fine yesterday and this morning. Now when I push the start button the solenoid clicks. battery is good as I swap it and had same no start click. Can a ground cause this? Maybe starter crapped out. I don't know that's why I came here!

Thanks again.

Ok got it now.  Yes that’s a tough part to find new.  I did see one on eBay but it’s a 97, I looked at the schematic and it looks right but I’m not 100%  chances are it’s prob close but the part numbers are different.  I would also explore taking that cover you have to a good heli arc welder that can patch that up and grind it into shape. It’s definitely doable.

Thanks!

I was able to find one last night. Part number I found was 3084780. I hope this is correct as i just got confirmation of shipping this morning. Found it used for $50.

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I am new to this site. I have a 1987 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport I think. Is there a difference between quadsport and quadrunner?

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.
