Picked this beauty up for zero dollars this weekend. It has been passed around several of my son's friends and the last kid was just tired of tinkering with it.  Mostly complete 96 300FW. The pic is my boy robbing the swing arm and rear diff for his 300 for a big memorial weekend ride. Wiring is garbage at the battery, kick start doesnt work, no coil, smoked like cheech and chong when it ran last. I figure a couple hundred and a few hours and this will be ready to ride. Journey will be documented on Instagram at @martincyclellc if ya wanna follow along.

Sneak peak of what this one will look like when it's done. If you were around ATC's when the last 250r rolled off the line, you can see where this is going. Should be pretty cool.

This one has been a bit of a basket case but it ran for the first time tonight. Not bad for a complete turd and a carb that had been sitting dry forever. Idled and revved like a champ. One more seal to fix and it'll be time to heat cycle it.

Thanks.  i'll build every one I can get my hands on.  Problem here in the south is these things are way overpriced and few and far between that folks want to let go of them.

Drove around the neighborhood last night on this one. Runs great, new clutch fibers are perfect. Needle valve started pouring gas so ordered a carb kit last night. This one sat dry too long and rubber is hard. Check out the leaks on this fine chinesium slip on.

Fresh carb kit and we're running pretty decent. Kicked right off on the 1st compression stroke with the kick start. Glad it has a kicker, this dude has some compression and would break a rope start.

@tnhomestead Thanks, those are Brute Force 750 wheels with the back two flipped around... BF was IRS.  I did quite a bit of prep to try and get the gold to stick, we'll see how it works out.  The idea here was to create a tribute to the 85/86 ATC250R, possibly the best looking ATC Honda created, IMHO.  You can see in the pic below the inspiration.
