2001 Kodiak 400 4WD Not Working

Recommended Posts

Hey, guys I’m at a complete loss now. When I bought this thing a week ago the guy (who I know) said it needed a new front diff, which he provided with the bike. I took the whole thing apart, replaced the diff, checked the splines on the axles and on the drive rod on both ends. The pinion gear splines all look good too. I put it all back together, including new wheel bearings on one side. Got her up on jacks, started her up, hit the 4WD button, heard the actuator engage, put her in gear and……Mike Ditka.
The old diff I took out sounded like a bucket of nuts and bolts when I turned the input. The new diff sounds nice and smooth and the outputs turn nicely when I spin the input. The only thing I can think is that something is wrong with the actuator, but it sure sounds good when I hit the button.
Does anyone have experience with this?  What am I missing?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a sudden loss of spark in my 1988 Suzuki LT300E quadrunner and we tried a new plug but still no spark. Then we checked the boot and there was no issues with it. I then took off the coil as I was going to get a resistance reading with a multimeter however I cannot find anywhere what the readings should be. The coil is a Mitsubishi F6T 411. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I suck at these forums so if you see this submitted under update status, my bad. Anyhow this is a new shock for a 96 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 it fits my 96 Yamaha Timberwolf 250 4x4 perfectly. Little narrower are the bottom than the original but everything else is perfect. I extended it to almost a half in from full extension because I’m pushing 350 pounds.  It rides and hold me well. So if any of y'allRace driven shock. have been looking for one and didn’t want to do the research here it is.

I have been exploring all the options available, so many, its hard to choose. I have kind of narrowed it down to the Honda Pilot, Subaru Outback, and Kind of looking at the Outlander, although its a little small,  the new one is nice looking. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or gripes with any of these rides. I have driven Jeeps for the past 25  years and they have been great, but their price point has gotten to high. Expieriences good or bad would be helpful. Thanks!
