1984 Honda TRX200 No electric start with neutral light "On"

So, as the title implies... green light, no electric start. 84 Honda trx200. If I jump the solenoid it cranks. Wiring good. Continuity on start button. Thought,  bad solenoid. New one, same results. Bad inhibitor switch?? 🤔

Here is the wiring diagram for that  machine. It'll help you trace out the fault.  You say there is continuity on the start button , but is there power to  it when in neutral and ignition on ?  If  not , trace back from there, if there  is then check switch to relay   and beyond until  you find the break.

I had an older honda years ago that would turn over an start up when you  pressed the start bitton but as aoon as you would let off of the start button it would not run any more. It ended up being the voltage regulator. Just take a screw driver and jump the two large wires on the solenoid. If the starter turns over then you have eliminated the starter solenoid as the problem.
