Traded for a 1985 Suzuki LT250 with thick green paint that's peeling and cracking.

Want to remove all the the paint and start fresh.

Anyone know of something that's effective and won't hurt the plastic.

Appears to have multiple coats.

Any help will be appreciated...

i use dollar store sink/dishes green scouring pad rectangle fuzzy things to sand it down/ then try to hide the bad looking spots with a darker color (if you look close you see the imperfections)

I like to wrap this type of plastic around everything

I use a piece of plastic tied on by a rope overtop of a table like this as a paint table for old rusty parts that get taken off of the machines

(sand all the rust off with the scouring pads/sometimes use the air tool/ wire spinny wheel dremel tool

(but if the part looks super rusty idk if the dremel will put holes in it.

You can try oven cleaner, sometimes that will bubble the paint but shouldn't hurt the plastic.  If you can get it to bubble a little, a pressure washer will do the hard work.

Lots of times on paint that is that badly done, you'll get the paint off only to find that they sanded it with 36 grit and ruined the plastic.

I am unable to find a wiring diagram for this UTV.  When I turn the switch to on, the contractor does not engage.  The Brake pressure switch and the parking brake switches work correctly. What else should I be looking for?  All of the diagrams I have found are for newer models and the wire color coding is different.

      Thanks

Just getting into this issue really. Been replacing solenoids but now I'd like to track down the problem. This time I'm not getting neutral/reverse lights or start button. Was on a creek ride when it started doing this recently. It cranks by arcing the solenoid and gives me no light or start button but if I crank with the pull cord....the neutral light and the button work. Turn it off and try to crank with the key and nothing. I'm looking into the safety switch issue tomorrow and re charging the battery. Just figured this was odd enough of a problem that you guys might be familiar. Thanks
