  1. Do you have a preference on the grit number on the back of the sand paper piece?
  2. i was trying to post screenshots of the circuit diagrams for the 2012 bigbear but everything was too tiny and hard to read 2007-2012_Yamaha_Yfm400_Big_Bear_400_4x4_SM.pdf
  3. my guess is to try cleaning the carburetor jets and try doing a valve adjustment 2017-2022 Sportsman 570 6x6 Service Manual.pdf
  4. if you go to a website called www.Vintagesnow.com it has hundred of free snowmobile service manuals from 1970 to 1999

  6. i was looking for what service manual to download to look in to try to answer the question but i came across two different similar service manuals/ 2005-2007 Suzuki LT-A700X King Quad Service Manual and 2005 Suzuki King Quad LT-A700XK5 Service Manual i was wondering which one i should download
  7. this is what to do if you mix up brass and steel parts in the ultrasonic/vinegar solution and everything turns black
  8. i'm going to buy one of these $20 or $30 ultrasonic jewelry cleaners and test it out with just using vinegar as the cleaning solution on some carburetor jets and see if i have the same results as this youtube video guy i never used an ultrasonic cleaner before
  9. i am not a mechanic but i help my dad work on motorcycles/quads/snowmobiles and it is always the carburetor is gunked up/ it is always those things called 'jets' these tiny brass looking bullet shaped things
  10. This attachment is sold separate from 'Autoline pro' i found one for $20 + $5 shipping/ i only just learned about smoke machines yesterday from a youtube video and having a hard time visualizing what this would do
  11. i am seeing that same smoke machine go from $120 to $250 on ebay and amazon so don't get ripped off / i found one on ebay for $120 and it comes with smoke fluid/ i am seeing another smoke machine made by the same company 'Autoline pro' for $70 )it doesn't have the hook on the top and the pictures say it doesn't come with any smoke fluid ( the $120 smoke machine with the hook i like the design better but with shipping it is about $150) I watched some videos on youtube and the mechanic highly recommends this tool (i found one for $15 +$5 shipping from china) it's kind of annoying because my dad can be so cheap i could never see him spending $200 and whenever i spend a bunch of money my mom always yells at me... EVAP Smoke Machine Automotive Vacuum Diagnostic Leak Detection Tester & Adapters | eBay this is the cheapest price i found for that model smoke machine
  12. The video i posted starts at 18:03/24:55 where the guy found the air leak with the smoke coming out of the loose part area
  13. i'm going to buy my dad one of these smoke machines for garage/ i just learned about smoke machines yesterday/ i'm going to get this particular smoke machine model cause i read a bunch of reviews and it seems like the best option cause you can change how much smoke you decide to pump into the system
  14. I use a piece of plastic tied on by a rope overtop of a table like this as a paint table for old rusty parts that get taken off of the machines (sand all the rust off with the scouring pads/sometimes use the air tool/ wire spinny wheel dremel tool (but if the part looks super rusty idk if the dremel will put holes in it.
  15. i like to use these neodymium magnets to pin this plastic to metal bars to avoid having to masking tape it
  16. i use dollar store sink/dishes green scouring pad rectangle fuzzy things to sand it down/ then try to hide the bad looking spots with a darker color (if you look close you see the imperfections) I like to wrap this type of plastic around everything
  17. So the guy ordered in 4 or 5 new replacement electrical parts. I think it is new CDI box, new coil, new stator, wiring harness and maybe something else too ( previously we tried everything and could not figure it out but then 'guess hypothesized that both CDI boxes the guy gave us were fucky) // We have no idea what is wrong (dad says maybe some switch inside of both of the CDI boxes the guy gave us is fucky) I don't know the status of the weird spark plug behavior because my dad said something about the fly-wheel and he had to order in some special part in do do something with it.
  18. I never use these strange torque specs i posted above//i will post a more usable torque specs list down below for if you took things apart to work on adjusting the valve clearance with that thin metal feeler tool
Very good service manual (it is free but you have to post 10 comments in topics in the quadcrazy forums first to gain download access)
  19. This is a picture from the 2006 Polaris Sawtooth service manual// i was also looking for pictures of a 2006 polaris Sawtooth stock hitch images and i didn't see any typical truck hitch/trailer hitch looking things ( i only saw that bar across the back that you could tie a rope on to pull things maybe?
  20. i had to take the day off work so i will find out the results on Tuesday about the Honda cr250 dirt bike //Coil/stator/wiring harness/ cdi box the problem is sporadic spark plug behavior ( we turned off all the lights in the garage so it was very dark) he kicked the kick starter about six times and i observed the sparks from the spark plugs. 1st time - low ish medium spark 2nd time - no spark 3rd time - no spark 4rth time - very faint spark 5th time - big medium big bright spark 6th time - very faint spark The customer guy gave my dad two different CDI boxes and some other stuff (we tried a whole bunch of things and cannot figure it out). We are guessing both CDI boxes are bad so the Honda cr250 owner guy tracked down a 3rd CDI box// the whole situation is confusing
  21. i think it is a bad idea to not use the intended cdi box // using a different one could cause a whole bunch of complications
