Oh i forgot you typed that you ordered a new wiring harness. So that should means the wires should be in new condition so no corrosion / maybe one of them is loose but probably not // tomorrow i will hear the results from my dad about the cr250 honda dirtbike strange spark plug behavior and maybe it will be some sort of clue// it is stator/cdi box/ wiring harness sort of problem too
You know the electrical wiring plugs/plug ins attached to all the dfferent rnadom bunch of wires (the ones i have seen look like a copper tube covered in soft bendy plastic plugs that are at the ends of the wires?
Maybe one of them has corrosion or a loose connection and things only work if the bike wiggled a certain way or something
i never tried a pressure washer because our shop doesn't have a inside or outside water tap on the outside shop wall... even though we do have a pressure washer//
How well does the pressure washer work on getting oil and grime off?? My dad says the pressure washer could water blast out the Chain Lubrication fluid and (expletive removed) up the motorcycle chain///
i know that when i use bleach $3 dollar store 'Mildew and rime remover" it turns the oil and grime into a smeary smudge i wipe away with higher quality microfiber clothes(these microfibre cloth rags just work way better)
i put the scrub free '$3 Dollarama dollar store solution' in the other Dollarama $3 sprayer bottle because it is was way better for spraying bleach (do not get on any rubber or plastic i read it will weaken it and make it brittle
(i spray the bleach on the oil and grime carefully and aim it real careful and then i use a giant flat head screwdriver and a medium flat head screw driver /one in each hand i attack and poke and scrape on the bundled up microfibre cloth on the grime to smear and wipe away the grime oil smudge (these clothes work very good at absorbing and hanging onto all the smudge
When me and my dad drain fuel out of a motorcycle or snowmobile we use this contraption that looks like this
(it is actually different from the picture because we don't use an electric impact gun for power / we used a small battery maybe the size of both your fists (like a super small car battery)
We used a small battery with a small black cable and a small red cable alligator clippy things for a power source to make the "hose/pump" contraption start working
Nice to meet you guys! I am new here i am a beginner mechanic that works for free with my dad on motorcycles/and snowmobiles but now we are working on a 2011 Polaris Outlaw 90! I am from Wetaskiwin, Alberta nice to meet you guys!
my dad is a self employed mechanic and i work as an assistant/ i mostly just hold a flashlight /pick up materials/ download service manuals we are working on a Polaris Outlaw 90 currently
for fabrication designs i like to buy these heavy duty braket/flatbar (prebent shapes and designs) from Canadian Tire store/ the flatbar looking shapes have about 5 or 6 holes in the middle for different options to attack the plow on with some bolts
i'm helping my dad work on this honda cr250 that has the same problem (the guy gave us two cdi boxes (i'm not too sure what is wrong) the kickstart pedal kicks back extremely violently // we are getting a 3rd cdi stator box from the guy (i will update you this Monday coming up and i will ask him more on the details so i can explain myself better!
i fixed my brothers car tire leak with tire slime (put the slime in the tire and drove around 20 minutes to spin it everywhere) when we parked his car we made sure the leak*it was this screw in the tire/we left the screw unremoved because we didn't want to gamble making a bigger hole (when we parked his car in the garage we made sure the screw/air leak was exactly at 6o clock to let gravity pool the slime in the area!
