Well, I seem to have picked up the Quadrunner bug.

I bought a second one, a much older and physically smaller 230.  2WD, semi-auto, pull button reverse.  The fellow got it to run, but certainly the carb is blocked up as it only ran on full choke.

Controls are much different, and I'll have to look into the clutch/transmission as I can't seem to get it in neutral, though the previous owner was able to while loading???  I may be missing something.

Does anybody know if the early Quadrunners were still "5 gears up" with neutral at the bottom?  I should be able to knock it into neutral without the motor running, correct?

Expect lots of questions, as this one needs a ton of work, lol.

I have a 86 quadrunner 230 GE that up till last week was running amazing Since then I eebuilt carb and im having trouble with getting to much air I think I have a air leak or craked line or airbox duct But when my 230 runs its a tank it runs amazing and is so much fun its a total sleeper when I pull up and younger guys see it they usally give the look like whats that but when it runs and at 50-53mph they sort of look like ohh wow thats pretty quick lol Not the fastest but deff not the slowest and never gets stuck in mud or sand or on a hill I love it

I sorted out my neutral issue.  It's up clicks to get to neutral, not down like the later Quadrunners.  Lol.

I also had trouble getting it to rev up, but putting a bit of an air restriction seems to work.  (It has no air filter element currently).

So, I will have to sort out a fabbed up air filter for the box.

Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.

So I’ve got a 2000 Honda 400ex absolutely love it!! I’ve had it for about a month, I ride with bruteforce 750’s, outlander 850’s and 1000 sxs’s and I was thinking of getting a trx450r carb and a full hmf exhaust. And probably doing the air box mod too, how much power would this give my 400? Just a little different or a big difference? Cuz if it’s not much of a different I’ll just stick with my dg slip on..... thanks!

I hadn't driven my Kodiak for a two months, and since it was low on fuel, the first thing I did was filled it up to maybe 7/8 full. Getting ready to start it, I rotated the fuel selector switch to "on" and within seconds I smelled and saw fuel dripping onto the floor. I quickly turned it off and the fuel gradually stopped - I can repeat this.
The fuel is flowing from the hose that is connected to the bottom of the carb, and routes around to the left side toward the wheel well. Any idea what's going on here? It ran fine the last time I had it out.
      Thanks...
