First time owner.  ridden a few over the years but not many.  Got it for hunting work, food plots, dragging deer, etc.

Bought 2005 suzuki king quad 700.  appears to be in really good shape but im far from an expert.  plastic in good condition, came with owners manual, odometer said something like 3500 miles.  previous owner was a cattle rancher who had it 9 years and upgraded to sxs.

aside from a new battery which it needs, routine maintenance is planned, starting with oil change and new air filter.  then new spark plug.  im assuming this is the easiest stuff to do first.  Then differentials and brakes.

One thing I noticed is this machine has adjustable shocks.  well one rear shock is set to different height than the other three.  need to adjust that too.  Other than that, it could use a good bath and should be good to go.

Anyway glad to be here and hoping I can share as much information as I'll be picking up.

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

I recently read an article about restoring or at least improving the looks of faded and discolored plastic body parts. In the article it suggested using a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. You mix it up and apply it with a brush or rag to rub it in and remove the oxidation. I curious to find out if anyone has had experience with doing this and what was their short/long term results of doing so. I would hate to try it and find out that a few weeks/months down the road my plastic body parts self destruct.

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!
