What mods has anyone done to their KingQuad 300?

  • Has anyone removed the pin preventing diff lock in gears other that SuperLow? Any issues with that?
  • Has anyone removed counterbalance shaft to gain more power? How bad were the vibrations after?
  • Anyone use their KingQuad for plowing snow?
  • Anyone mount a snowblower to their KingQuad? How do you handle the weight? Do you add counter weight to the rear? I've heard of replacing the suspension for solid struts? Anyone done that swap b4?
  • Anyone else have constantly fouled plugs? I can't seem to find the cause? Torching the plug has become a starting ritual for me.
  • Why did Suzuki design the rear brake to only 1 wheel
  • Does SuperLow only have 1 gear? I haven't been able to shift above first?
  • Does anyone else have an unreasonable high idle at the recommended 2 5/8 turns out. I need to turn out like 6 turns to get it to idle right. Might be related to by constantly fouled plugs.
  • Has anyone replaced the starter solenoid? Is there a way to do it without removing the whole front end plastics and rack?

It's pretty damn hairy driving at much speed with the diff lock engaged. You should be able to change right up through the gears with super-low engaged..  You do need to wind it out a bit though before doing the changes so the gears don't bind and not want to shift.. Perhaps check the clutch adjustment too.

The plug shouldn't get fouled. It might be burning oil, or need the carby adjusting,(We'd suspect to a leaner mixture, which is counter to my next line..), or need a new plug, or a new plug with a different heat range.

Having to wind the idle mixture that far sounds like it's got a very lean mixture, perhaps an air leak into a vacuum hose or the manifold, or a low fuel level in the bowl. If the mixture is wrong, generally lean, they will/can race at warm idle when they were fine cold.

I'd try to check the plug isn't oily, meaning, I check it's not burning oil/blowing blue smoke,  then check/clean adjust the carby and vacuum hoses, then consider changing to a hotter plug if it stills fouls...

having an issue with the unit when running under a load up a hill or in high gear, seems like the belt is slipping, there is a clapping sound coming from the primary clutch like it releases and snaps back in. i don't think I should have a noise like that. this is a friends unit and he has already replaced the primary twice with the same result.
not sure where to look next

Wiring shows White and Brown to solenoid blades. Then a black wire from starter circuit relay to solenoid. I am confused,  where is that black wire supposed to connect?
      Thanks for any help

      Hey I have a 1997 big bear 350 4x4
I replaced the shifter shaft and the shift arm linkage and the rod when I installed them all I was unaware that you had to line the dot on the shifter shaft with the gap on the linkage arm gap put it all back  together and rode it I can't get it to shift in the right gears  I can move the shift cam by hand and goes in different gears but with the shifter shaft in it riding I can't put it in R or N
Anyone know how to line up the shifter shaft and the shift cam s

My 2014 750 king quad stalls sometimes when I touch or turn the handlebars, the problem has gotten worse,my machine has 475 miles and is only trail ridden,I have a new factory battery and i have 14.2 volts when the quad is running and 13.3 on the battery when not running, also using a multimeter there is no change in volts when turning the bars until it does stall,If I pull the 40 amp power steering fuse it will not stall.......I've been told its the ECU,Hate to buy one if thats not the problem, but its kinda leaning towards that,,,,,need some opinions.
