So, I've been working on my 06 Suzuki Ozark 250. Yesterday I tried to put a new key switch on it and I'm not getting any power to it. The 4 wheeler will start and run if you use the pull rope. I checked the 2 fuses I found on either side of the solenoid and they were fine. Im not sure what I need to check next. Electrical issues are not my strong suit, so I would really appreciate any help. What should I look at or try next? Thanks.

Kill switch ?

Look at a wiring diagram (in a workshop manual, obtainable on here), and see where the power goes before it gets to the key.. It might go through the kill switch before getting to the key. Start from the battery in the diagram and follow the color to the key. Or, it's got a broken wire. Again, refer to a wiring diagram and see what color the wire is from the battery to the key(red I reckon) , and if you have a multimeter with a buzzer continuity setting, use that to trace/check for continuity from one end of each red wire(if it is red) till you find one that's broken.

Has anyone had a suzuki 230 quad lock the engine up?  Its a well maintained bike, it locked up when my son was riding it. Pulled the plug, it has connected with the piston. I'm thinking the con rod let go.  I don't have a service manual.  Does the engine need to come out to check further?

Hi, I have been around everything with a motor since I was little, and finally purchased more to get my husband, and kids involved. I have 4 quads I will be searching around for information on. I have two 2002 Suzuki LT80K quads, a 1997 Yamaha Timberwolf 250, and a 1996 Kawasaki Bayou 220. I have had different ones throughout the years, and plan on buying another Yamaha Banshee. I plan on trying to learn more about all of them, so I can customize some of them. I know nothing about them besides how to race them, my dad always took care of the rest, but figured it was time for me to learn.

Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.
