Hi. I am new here.
I picked up a Honda TRX300FW last year. I traded a horse trailer for it.
I enjoy it but one thing if I may ask, it seems to overheat and shuts down.
What causes that?
Thanks

Joined up today after my neighbor gifted our family a 1988 Yamaha YFM200DX for the boys to ride around in the yard. It's in decent shape but needs a good bit of things fixed to be a safe machine for the kids to learn how to ride. Ordered a bunch of OE and aftermarket parts today to start the rebuild/reconditioning process and have the machine stripped of it's plastics currently. Debating on stripping it down to the frame and doing a full restore on it, just not sure if the boys will be willing to wait that long to ride it around. Neighbor replaced a lot of parts on it, including the carb, which leaks fuel when the tank petcock is left on, thinking this may just be a float issue. Also, as it currently sits, it will not run under load but will idle fine. Going to take the carb apart to clean and inspect it, drain the tank and clean it, then go from there. Lots to do for sure, open to any suggestions if anyone has dealt with similar issues and found the culprit. I've worked on cars for a long time and this is the first 4 wheeler I've owned, so learning as I go.

Hey guys and gals, I am from australia. I have a yamaha big bear 400 4x4. I have taken it out to the local nation park a couple of times and made a rod protector out of 90mm pvc downpipe. Simple little protector, nothing flash just stops my fishing rod getting caught on a tree or something and breaking. I also own 40 acres that I like riding around on and also use the quad to tow a spray tank or trailer around.
Currently it won't go into 4x4 so I'm here to get advice on fixing that. Cheers
