Looking to buy

Looking at 2 quads and need help deciding. #1 is a 2021 CF Moto 600 Touring with 69 miles, 2 seater with factory installed plow, windshield, backrest and luggage box with no warranty remaining  for $6500 or #2 2022 CF Moto 500 with 15 miles and a 2 year warranty for $6000?

Follow up....I bought the 2021 600 Touring quad with 69 miles, plow, windshield and hard luggage box for $6500. Suggestions and/or comments are appreciated. Also I am new to the quad owner world so any tips are welcomed.

Tip #1.

Be religious about your maintenance.

Any tips on maintenance? Just greased the 6 zerk fittings in the rear end (not a drop was ever put in, thank goodness only 69 miles on it), cleaned the air filter cover and sprayed with filter oil and lubricated all joints. Oil changed being done soon (oil looks good). Anything I am missing?

assuming you have the owners manual, it has the basic rundown on routine maintenance and specs.

It also has the intervals.

Ive got vtwin 800xc and in my experience it is relatively easy to work on compared to a number of other vehicles.

 

The service manual goes into other maintenance more thoroughly though not completely. guess theyre trying to retain some trade secrets, but it is worth the $35 or so at the various places that have them.

Between those two, I'd lean toward the 2022 CF Moto 500. The 2-year warranty is huge peace of mind, and with only 15 miles, it's basically new. The $500 savings is a bonus.
That said, the 600 Touring has nice accessories (plow, windshield, backrest, luggage) that would cost you $1,500+ to add separately. But no warranty means you're on your own if something breaks.
A few things to consider:

• Are you buying from a dealer or private seller?
• What's the warranty situation on the 600? (Even "expired" might have options)
• Any local dealer support for CFMOTO in your area?

Speaking of which, having parts/service access matters with these machines. If you're in the South West,

are sold through official dealers with solid racing pedigree behind them. Worth checking out for comparison and to see what warranty options look like on newer models.
Anyone know if the 600 Touring has the same engine reliability track record as the 500? The mileage difference is negligible, but that warranty is a big factor.
