Strangest thing ever seen I have a 2009 Theo Theo one 10 cc automatic, but it has no gear selector at all. The casting of the engine block has blank areas where shifter goes no way to put it in neutral. Anybody ever heard or seen this? When I crank it, it wants to lunge forward except the emergency brake on the handlebars are set.

No belt , just a normal looking clutch  adjustment that does nothing at all. No markings for reverse or anything of that nature.

Found this information not sure if this is yours or not:

  • TaoTao 110cc ATV – ATA 110B
  • TaoTao 110cc ATV – ATA 110 B1
  • TaoTao 110cc ATV – ATA 110 B3
  • TaoTao 110cc ATV – ATA 110 H1
  • TaoTao 110cc ATV – ATA 110 H4

All these models boasted an automatic transmission with reverse, full suspension, a multitude of color options, and tons of safety features parents would love. They had bike-like handlebars that provide the young rider good control of the quad. The rear rack offered an 11-lb (5 Kg) carrying capacity – great for snacks and some protective gear. Full floorboards allowed for sure footing while riding on bumpy or wooded trails.

Just getting into this issue really. Been replacing solenoids but now I'd like to track down the problem. This time I'm not getting neutral/reverse lights or start button. Was on a creek ride when it started doing this recently. It cranks by arcing the solenoid and gives me no light or start button but if I crank with the pull cord....the neutral light and the button work. Turn it off and try to crank with the key and nothing. I'm looking into the safety switch issue tomorrow and re charging the battery. Just figured this was odd enough of a problem that you guys might be familiar. Thanks

Maybe someone has the answer to correct a long cranking but did start after maybe 10 seconds?
Temp was mid 70's, with ATV not run for maybe a month but on battery maintainer with full bat charge noted.  The atv started, but then died a couple times after repeated attempts.  But when run awhile everything was ok.  Although when starting now I do hear the fuel pump humming but seems to take a few ,"long" seconds before full prime pressure.
Is this typical of a failing fuel pump?
I've priced a replacement fuel pump on eBay for less than $40 so am tempted to simply replace it for good PM.  Just had all covers off so looks really easy to replace.
      Any ideas?
