I have a 2019 LTA-500 that needs a rebuild. The head assy and cover and cam is trashed. It seems like lack of oil feed to top end. Piston and cylinder is good. My main reason for posting is where is the cheapest place to buy parts?

I'm in Australia but I have bought some parts before from Partzilla. I did find a reconditioned head assy on ebay from seller ATVcylinders, but still need a few things like cam oil pump, gaskets etc. I'm still looking for a workshop manual for this bike. Some photos of the damaged cam and head.

Looks bad I think you are right about no oil, hate to see that happen to one so new. I use rockymountainatvmc.com or motorsport.com  have used partzilla no problems, the others are usually cheaper.

A lot of bikes have a restrictor in the oilway going to the head, They can get a blockage at that restriction. The restrictor is generally down in a side case or main case in an oil gallery.  You should refer to the manual's oil circuit diagram and check it I reckon.

I recently read an article about restoring or at least improving the looks of faded and discolored plastic body parts. In the article it suggested using a 50/50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. You mix it up and apply it with a brush or rag to rub it in and remove the oxidation. I curious to find out if anyone has had experience with doing this and what was their short/long term results of doing so. I would hate to try it and find out that a few weeks/months down the road my plastic body parts self destruct.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a really Heavy Duty ATV cover. I have bought several and they do keep the water off somewhat, but they are very thin and do not contour with the shape very well and water pools up in the rack louvers. I think i may be looking for a heavy canvas one, if anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.
