  1. i can;'t wait. i believe that if my chain drive atv ever gives up the ghost i may fab up the mounts to convert!
  2. yeah for sure take some pics for us and check in when you get a parts list of stuff you need!
  3. thanks this is great hope it gets more updates for parts and accessories too
  4. ahh let the dirt pile on. if you keep the airfilter clean oil filled and the tires pumped it'll last a long long time. I'd love to see a build log for this as i'm wanting a big bear irs super badly. if you'll sell it I'd think very seriously about a cheap cylinder and piston from ebay. but since they are under 100 bucks it does make you wonder if they are ok to use! I'd say it comes down to your usage case. if you are going to use it weekly and run it like a sport quad then might as well spend up and get some nice oem or name brand parts because it sounds like you got a great deal on it. im actually jealous!
  5. A new series by mike sabo called top quad 3 and sxs blog has a recent series called cheap quad challenge. both have taught me a lot about how fun and affordable offroading in smaller machines can be.. I just bought a cheap LAKOTA and i'm in the process of getting it trail ready i cant wait! Let me know if anyone has seen this and what thoughts you've had. it was a incredibly helpful thing for me as i didnt know the lakota existed until i saw the show!
  6. I'll bet thats pricey but i cant wait to see the on govplanet!
  7. wow what is strong enough to anchor a load like that??? and randy will you please take some pictures specifically of the house style plug wiring and of the trailer you use for dirt ? I'm also interested in how you load the dirt into the trailer. I've been using a harbor freight 2500 and the line is achingly slow but the keychain is awesome and it has worked for all 10mins total ive needed it in the 2 years ive owned it!
  8. wow that cam is so ugly. did it make much noise? i looked up heads on US ebay and found one for a 2016 its 79 dollars and looks like it needs a valve. the pics are pretty blurry but here is the sellers name. you may want to inquire further. nbgmotorsports Picture 3 of 9 2016 SUZUKI KING QUAD 500 LTA500X 4X4 AXI CYLINDER HEAD CORE #15795
  9. I for one have enjoyed this thread. I will say that a side by side offers little in the way of exposure and does not lend itself to friendly stop by side of trail or campsite conversation like a bicycle atv or motorcycle! try out everything you can before you buy and watch the series on youtube from mike sabo called top quad and sxs blog has a recent series called cheap quad challenge. both have taught me a lot about how fun and affordable offroading in smaller machines can be.. however if you just want to get something bigger and new i believe the cfmoto quad lineup is unbeatable!
