1994 Bayou 220 weak spark

We rebuilt the engine put wiring back together it ran before but now it won’t and has a weak spark we have been trying to figure it out for about a week and still nothing changes does anyone have any help on what it might be?

Have you tried a new spark plug ?

Do you have a good battery ?

What colour is the spark, blue/white, or yellow?

Will the spark jump 6mm, 1/4" ?

And most importantly... What have you done/tried so far ?

It’s blueish white maybe a mm of spark we have tried changing the coils,spark plug,coils,cdi, and made better grounds.

Well you should get the service manual and follow the diagnostic process in there to figure out what's wrong. That ignition system on that bike may not be cdi. Some have an ignition unit like a cdi, and some books even name it as cdi, but it doesn't work as a cdi does. That system needs an unusual (for these days), coil.

But are you sure that it is a lack of spark causing this problem ? A one mm spark might be enough to start an engine, it often is.

How many wires does the cdi unit have ?

It looks like it will be a cdi, but there are a few variations.

There are 7 wires that comes from the cdi the black and blue wire goes to the pick up coil and the green with white stripe goes to positive of the ignition coil I think those are the main wires

There are two others that go to the stator..
