I would either go with a +4 or +6... Im running a +6 on my banshee and it is very duneable... We ride a lot of trails at the dunes and i can still turn with no problem... It is a blast to hillshoot with a +6 swinger...

+6?? If your not dragging i dont think you need that long maybe a +3 or +4 dont know about dunes much but but how bout SMC? There cheap and have a good warranty. Our Houser.

Most fast drag bikes run a +12 to +18 not just a +6... +6 works awesome for me and i can still jump all day with it and it hooks awesome with a good set of paddles.

I would also go with the +6. There aren't to bad in the trails or dune ridding. I see your going 498, so I figure your going to end up going drag in the future. A +6 is a great start. If you ever want to go faster than the swingarm allows, just get a wheelie bar. There are alot of custom fabricators around that are fairly cheap, but you have to look at the weight issue if you ever plan to be competitive in drag racing. If you just plan on dune ridding, weight probably won't be that much of a factor.

I have a 2009 Honda Rancher TRX420FA with shifting problems.
Usually it shifts ok when cold but after couple minutes it will stop shifting with no codes.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in first gear is 74psi. The 2nd shift clutch oil pressure when in second gear is 74psi.
The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in neutral is zero. The problem is when the tranny is in neutral the 2nd shift clutch pressure starts around 10-15psi and builds to 20psi. Is this normal?

Hi everyone and thanks for reading.
My husband and me are getting ready to host the 2nd Quad Runners event at our nudist campground. The first one (last year) went pretty well with about 20 quads attending and have to say, it was a smaller group, but they made up for their size with the large interest in partying and there was plenty of nudity as the Saturday night went on.
We have decided to host another one this summer, but we are looking for some fun (but safe) riding events. Our grounds are almost all flat and remember we are a nudist campground so many of us are bare as* naked so "slow ride" events would be the best.
Give us your thoughts and ideas and feel free to ask us anything you would like, and we will answer right here in the thread.
Thanks for your help and ride safe.
BTW, let us know what "anything goes" means for this thread section.

      Hi all,

I am wondering if any of you have a Clutch Starter gear from a 1988 era quadrunner 250 sitting around that you could get me a precise measurement of the outer diameter of the race the sprag engages onto, for me? I need to machine a damaged race down and install a hardened sleeve and need that measurement (it's on a different gear than the OEM one, so I can't buy and use a OEM gear).

Hey guys, so I've been messing with my quad, and between all the starts, the battery is dead. Is there a certain way to charge these? Can I just throw a trickle charger on it and call it a day? can i also jump it like a normal car with a battery pack or is that to much voltage
