My brother and I recently purchased an old 250r, with the intent of rebuilding it. We need a wiring diagram, would anyone know if there is one posted online, or would anyone have a copy they could scan and email to me? I am going to try to post some pictures of it when I get time, any ideas, questions, comments or concerns would be a big help.

Unfortunately I do not have anything that goes back that old for Suzuki. You should just invest in a $20 manual. I looked at some of my online sources also, but could not find one. If I come across one, I will post it up.

Yeah my brother has a book but he can't find it, I am gonna give him another week and then purchase another one if I need to. Scott; we think we got a miss match. the date on the frame is 11/85 so I think that would mean an 86 produced in late 85 but not certain. also I don't think the 86 had a powervalve and this one does so I think the motor may be an 87 but once again I am not sure. let me know if there is anymore info you may need and keep the info coming its appreciated

i HAVE A 2008 BAja 250 ur quad, have running problems and electrical rewiring project. I have found this model is made by loncin which has went out business. Have found some parts such as switches that have to be rewired and I think I have a bad stator. Will run till warm and then stops firing. The cdi is new and would not fire at all till I replaced it. Now I have this problem. Can anyone connect me with a good wiring diagram and a good diagnostic  procedure for this 7 wire 3 plug  cdi?

Hey everyone, been dealing with quads since I was a kid,now I have a son who loves my raptor 700 and had gotten him an electric power wheel quad but it didn’t cut it for him.so for his birthday “xmas eve” I picked up a used 2002 quadmaster 50 for 500 bucks. It started and moved but needed work..
got it home drove it for a few feet and it started bogging down and would shut off.
so I stripped quad down to the frame cleaned it up as best I could without removing motor from frame.
replaced top end new head piston rings etc cheap kit off eBay along with carb that will be here today.the filter that was on carb was degraded and soaked with gas. Also new cylinder doesn’t have vacuum line so how do I block that off without getting new petcock valve?
      tightened chain.
guy said quad doesn’t take oil as it’s a closed case right then I knew the guy knew nothing about the machine. So I changed oil,was black and thick and just nasty like sludge.
suspension in rear seems good but the fronts are very stiff, any way to adjust these or should I get a new set?
also upon stripping everything down I noticed the exhaust restrictor was gone so without that do I need to update jets in new carb, old carb has original jets??
and also I’m new to cvt tranny so how would I know if it’s bad etc?
sorry for all the questions just want to make this thing safe for my 5 year old knucklehead.
added some photos of my current progress didn’t take any inbetween cleaning everything though

please any info will be appreciated.
i haven’t rebuilt a quad since 1999 when I had my blaster and my buddies had other 2 strokes I was the mechanic with no knowledge but always seemed to get things right!!
also if you notice the old head looked chipped and damaged and I’m wondering if those chips made it into motor how would I go about finding them?i would think by now they would be chewed up? I did not strain oil that I drained but might do that later when the kids are sleeping and I have time to check it without kiddo seeing!

      Hello All,
I am looking for any help or suggestion that I might be able to get on how to wire a '04 Kodiak 400 4x4 motor into a Coleman Outfitters / Hisun 400 4x4 Utv. This machine had the Kodiak motor installed and was running until someone stripped the wiring to install new harness. They destroyed the old harness so it of little use now. We have a new harness for the Utv and part of the wiring to the Kodiak CDI and Voltage regulator/rectifier is in place. For now I am just trying to find a good diagram of the wiring needed to Power up the motor. Any help with this part of our issue would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to help my son this machine running since he bought into this nightmare.
      Thank you,

      Hello
Just signed up, as I've had a recurring problem, and need some help.
To start the bike I have to put the choke on all the way and 4 squeezes on the gas, Then as I push the start, I slow squeeze the throttle about half way for it to catch....If I miss it, then it will take 5 mins of slowly finding the sweetspot on the choke in unison with some throttle squeezes.
Then I have to to hold the throttle to keep the bike going, using the choke will stall it out. after about 3 mins of holding the throttle, I then can let it go, and it idles fine, and runs fine. If it sits for a few hours it's only slightly hard to start, but a few days of sitting, and it's a lot more work.
Had the bike serviced they couldn't figure it out. They swapped peticock, plug, new gas, all new lines, new throttle, and cable. Said the carb was fine, and clean. New air filter, said fuel pump was fine, no leaks around carb boots, new battery, new rectifier.
Ran some sea foam through it....Runs Great.....Just such a pain to start...
      Thanks
