Honda 250EX QUESTION

Recommended Posts

I have a Yamaha Blaster i have been trying to trade for a Honda atv. This guy has a 2001 Honda 250EX that he wants to trade me.The only problem is he said that the weld broke on the rear hub .He wants to trade me but i have to fix the hub.I don't know alot about fixing 4-wheelers.Is this a serious thing that is wrong with it?Is it easy to fix?Was the hub welded when new? I don't know if i should trade or not? Any help appreciated!! Thanks!

First off, there should not be any welds on the hub, it is a cast part. Replacing it would not be very expensive. If there is a broken weld somewhere, I am thinking that he is talking about something else, not a hub. Secondly, I agree with Gearhead, the Blaster is a better machine IMO. A 250EX is going to be slower and probably a bit heavier. There are alot of things you can do to make that Blaster better and faster. I have seen highly modified Blasters eat up mildly modded Raptor 700's, Banshees, all types of 450's and 250 pingers. If you want to trade for a Honda, I would shoot for a 400EX, 250R or better or I think you will just end up disapointed. You may need to add some cash to the trade, or just sell the Blaster and buy something else. Performance wise, a 250EX or even a 300EX would be a step down IMO.

Hi, I am having issues with my TRX350D fuel pump.  It suddenly stopped running so I have replaced all the fuses and cleaned all the terminals.  I have fitted a new pump, fuel cut-off relay and rectifier.  Still nothing!!  The pump runs when attached to a battery.  The engine will start on the choke and the filter fills with fuel but it will  not rev and dies when the choke is closed. I have power to the relay but nothing at the pump black/white wire when cranking the engine.  Any ideas where to go from here would be very much appreciated!!

      Hey I have a 1997 big bear 350 4x4
I replaced the shifter shaft and the shift arm linkage and the rod when I installed them all I was unaware that you had to line the dot on the shifter shaft with the gap on the linkage arm gap put it all back  together and rode it I can't get it to shift in the right gears  I can move the shift cam by hand and goes in different gears but with the shifter shaft in it riding I can't put it in R or N
Anyone know how to line up the shifter shaft and the shift cam s

I WANTED TO UPGRADE THE CARBURATOR ON MY 1992 BIG BEAR 350, SO I ORDERED A NEW CARB FROM EBAY.  ACCORDING TO THE WRITE-UP IT WAS A GOOD FIT FOR BIG BEARS FROM 1988 TO 1996.  WHEN I REMOVED MY ORIGINAL CARB I NOTICED THAT IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE NEW CARB MY CARB HAD TWO THROTTLE  CABLES THE NEW CARB ONLY HAD ONE CABLE.  HOW CAN I MAKE THIS CARB WORK ON MY TWO CABLE THROTTLE?

1996 4x4 Timberwolf rearend width. Can someone with some knowledge of these machines answer this question for me please. Are all 4x4 timberwolves this narrow in the rearend? These tires are so close the right one actually rubs the muffler.  Thinking about seeing if there are any spacers out there for it. I need at least an inch more clearance.

From Arkansas. Just bought a 2012 Gator 850i RSX because I could not pass up the price. BUT it has an idle problem. So, to be honest, I joined just to get a service manual. I have a choice: 1)Buy a hard copy: ~$100; 2)Buy a CD ~$35.00; Get a direct download for free posting 10 times; or get a download for $29.00 (subscription). Haven't decided what to do yet.
