2002 Suzuki Ozark 250 Pull Start Issue

just picked up an 02 Ozark. Hasnt been run in a while. Starter was dragging so i got it to fire up and actually run with the pull rope and was running good. I shut it off and now when i try to pull it with the pull rope it acts like it is locked up.I got it to spin with the rope one othet time then locked agin. Could it be the pull rope or the starter jamed?

Probably the pull rope mechanism, return spring jammed. May have to take it apart.

Take the fuse out for the starter and try it. Only time my 02 Ozark would pullstart is if the electric start would not work.
