1990 Big Bear 350 - when place into high gear the transmission slips into netural

I have a 1990 Yamaha big bear 350 4x4 and when I am driving in low gears and switch it to high the transmission slips into false neutral no matter what gear I am in. If I switch back to low it is in gear and switch back it may stay in gear or go back to a false neutral. I have to try 5 or 6 times switching back from low to high until it stays in gear.

Any suggestions on how to repair this???????????:huh:

      It's has new carb rebuild, new air filter, new battery, new spark plug so I don't think it's a crack in the spark plug

      Just purchased this 4 wheeler in June, now I need to replace 1 wheel bearing, 2 boots (on rear), figure just do both sides bearing & boots. Was told it had 2" lift kit on it.Read some where might need to get different boots since lift. Want to do upper & lower. Any suggestions on how to tell if it's lifted & boots I need?

      I’ve been looking for quite a while now to replace my rip torn CV boots and CV shaft with the axle set up for all four corners.
      I cannot find a company anywhere that sells aftermarket axles
      Also, looking for a new four-wheel-drive actuator switch that bolts to the front differential mine was broken off by a large branch.
      I cannot find anything but OEM parts what gives??
      Again 2024 Kodiak 700 EPS.

      Okay, so I have a 2002 Rubicon 500…bought it last year and it sat for several months until I put a new rear axle in, FINALLY got that done and was super excited to finally have my wheeler going, just to notice a strong gas odor. Popped the seat off and sure enough, pouring gas from the carb overflow. Fast forward a few more weeks and get the new carb and get it in, no leak! Yay. Except now I have no spark. 😒 I’ve tried another plug and checked and am getting no power to the coil pack. I’ve read and read and mostly what I’ve found is ECU, which is fine…but I like to exhaust all avenues before buying the more expensive parts just because I don’t wanna spend the money and it have ended up being something simple that I overlooked because I was trying to rush. 😂 I don’t know if it’s relevant, but I read on another post that someone had similar issues with theirs and it was the sensor on the side of the carb, just a thought since this literally happened after I put the new carb on. It also displays “- -“ on the display screen where it should show the gear position.
