1991 Yamaha Big Bear 350

a couple things i would like to find out more info on ...

1/. brakes for this bike, has anyone converted the front drum to disc?

is there a kit available or a front diff swap?

2/. when i had an 05 honda foreman, there was no running board and i was able to get a wire/metal mesh foot guard from royal distributing, an atv parts warehouse here in canada. this yamaha is the same and i would really like some protection for the feet/legs. are there nerf bars out there to accommodate or has anyone a line on running boards of some sort?

As far as the running boards go I would run to the first metal fabricator I could think of and get some aluminium plates made up to bolt to the pegs and front & back gard's }I'd have lost a foot by now if I didn't have them{

There is a steel company that makes custom grating. Alot of it is very trick. Its mostly used in construction but alot of it is aluminum and fiberglass. If i find the name ill post it.

after looking at it a little more closely, it should be an easy fix ...

i've got protection at the heel and i think a little weld at the front of the peg guard will do it nicely ...
