Mig is easiest to learn but not easiest to master. Agree go with the biggest 110 machine you can get. If you use gas the material must be 100% clean. New material is even better. Flux core mig can be used on dirty metal but if you run gas with it, it will make the welds prettier Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk

Yes there should be no play at all Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk

Change the gas and I would clean the carb. its not hard at all. Are you sure its a fuel problem and not an ignition problem?

If a trail machine is what your looking for I would fix it. If your a 450 fanboy then it wont be what you need.

Def have to check your compression and do a leakdown. For the time being check your valve clearances. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk

Did you look for a used or new machine? An older Miller is still a great machine. I have 3 Miller 350p machines that are still running strong after 20+ pallets (yes pallets) of 035 wire has been run through them. I run 90/10 gas with excellent weld penetration. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk

I might have a 500cc 400EX motor for sale ....or trade

Yeah that is one of the quirks with our 400ex machines. Glad your back in the trails!

Did you adjust the valves? If they arent within spec you wont start.

you might need a carb cleaning and while your at it let us know what #s your jets are. Clean the carb 3 times over. pull the plug and see what color it is.
