1999 Polaris Xplorer - Starter Problems

I just brought my 4-wheeler home from the shop and rode it around my house turned it off and left it for about a week. I got on it yesturday started it and it made a loud eeee sound so I tried again now all it does is clicks, I have a new starter, new bendix, new cylnoid, and new battery, does anyone have any clues what I should check, or know any reason this would keep happening this is the second time.:aargh:

usually if you just hear the clicks, it is a bad connection. the starter wire from your battery to the starter relay/solenoid and to the starter, and the same with the ground wire from the battery. more than likely you have a good connection at the starter being just repaired, but i would check there too.

Also check the wire from the starter button on your handlebar to the solenoid to make sure the connection is good.

Last season I was having some issues and I though it was with the starting systm but it turned out to be with the charging system. Try testing the stator, I had to replace my Polaris stator along with some other charging and stater system components. Now its running great!

Pull the plug and see if it will crank over without any compression.
