1994 Yamaha Kodiak 400 - Carb

Hi everyone, new here and was hoping someone can help me out, been searching hi and low for a used carb (new one is 600 bucks) for my 1994 kodiak 400 for some time now but can't find one. Was hoping someone could give me a lead on one or wondering if a 2001 kodiak 400 carb would work??

hello and welcome !! best bet would be ebay or kijiji for a parts bike.

i'm sure the carb could be swapped. just don't know if connections are the same and the mm of carb.

if you have a local yami dealer close by, buy one of the mechanics a timmy's and a jelly donut to get some info

actually there is a fellow on this site that swaps carbs of diff bikes, i'll try and think of his handle and set you 2 up to chat ...

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully you can remember that guys handle because i was wondering the same thing about size differences.New dealer 1994 carb $650 and New e-bay 2001 carb $150

i think they are a diff set-up. someone else was looking for the carb kit and i think yamaha kept the same carb for 3 or 4 years and then changed it again....
