      Hello there!
I'm new to the forums, but not new to the hobby. Admittedly though, I'm not super mechanically capable. But usually my contributions result in the problems I've attempted to solve via help with the forums and I will post my solutions.  Or it I've solved a problem myself, I will post about it and how I solved it.
I've owned a lot of used (ever bought new) ATV's from:  Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Polaris.  From sport to 4x4, and have developed all my biased opinions of each brand.
Well that's my intro in a nutshell!

So I have used the service manual to troubleshoot every sensor on this bike. Everything tests good accept the EPS Control unit. However, I do not see anything in the manual that suggests that this will cause the issue that I am having. The bike will start instantly when the button is pressed sometimes and then other times it wants to turn over forever and make a horrible knocking sound. Sometimes backfiring. After cycling the ignition it will sometimes start up right away. I have triple checked the timing and also the valve clearances. Everything checks out. The bike is for a customer that really doesn't know anything about the bike. From what I can see, the cylinder appears to be new, along with the starter. I did a compression test and it is a little high (74psi) Book says 71.7 is max. I can't see this little bit causing the problem, but I could be wrong. Last thing is that the idle is a little high. I have tried everything to get it to slow down with no avail. When I put it in gear it will jump slightly and is hard to get back into neutral due to high RPM's. Any Ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hey fellas, I've been referring to this forum a bunch over the years , but finally needed to create an account for some help,, so this is my first post. I'm working on a friend's 06 Arctic Cat 700efi that has no spark whatsoever and am kinda at a loss. To begin with, he had tried to fix it himself so he had replaced alot already...I know, I know lol. This is what has been done; New plug twice, new coil twice with new one ohming out great, new stator, new rectifier,  and new starter solenoid.
.    The biggest frustration is that I've got no codes. ECU shows that I'm in neutral and my brake safety switch works. I also show 12.5v at the tilt sensor pin on ecu which I assume is correct and then if u flip, then u lose voltage. Am I right, or no? Only other things I can think to do is replace Crank position sensor, get a peak voltage meter and read my peak voltages, or replace ecm which obviously is last resort.

I also verified the pulse coil. Thank you in advance

I have a 2007 700 EFI that I purchased new. It broke down 9.5 miles out on the trail the day I bought it and has been in the shop in two states almost ever since. All warrenties are now expired and I have a quad that still does not run. I have only managed to put 304 miles on it in 3 years. I am a auto mechanic and have technical back ground. I maintain, repair, and build all my other quads and bikes as well. This one has been under warranty and the princable of it has kept me taking it back to the dealers. Now it's up to me to repair it.
To start out, it is flashing codes 41, 42, and 43. Can anyone give me code descriptions? Thank you.
      Larry
