I have already owned and sold an 06 ltr450 it was bone stock, I never raced it just trails and street. Recently i have been wanting to get back into riding and also racing(xc, scrambles). I have watched a lot of racing but never came out and asked the question, yfz450 vs the ltr450. I know the ltr never rode or knew anyone with a yfz, but every race i see has a lot of yfz seems like from the racing aspect the yfzs are more popular. Is it just me thinking too much into it or is it true are the yfzs better for racing, or which one do you guys think has the better geometry, reliability, performance and so on for racing. Thanks for your input

Will not go into 1st but if ya go past will go into maybe next gear. Will not shift into reverse. I have see others say that the shift cam assembly dowel worn or fall out. How do I get to this? Do I need to break case in half?

      thanks for your help

I get it, turn counterclockwise will decrease, turn clockwise will increase.  My question is what exactly am i increasing or decreasing? Is it clutch pressure? In many videos i've seen it's always "turn counterclockwise" until you feel resistance then back off. Why is it always to decrease?
I'm just curious as to what exactly is going on when i turn that screw right or left. And, since there's no manual clutch to engage or disengage, what is going on inside?
Reason why i'm asking is while going down a hill in 1st gear, it appears to pops out of gear, but no neutral light, and if i stop, it's in 1st gear still. BUT, (always a but) if the engine is warmed up, it stays in 1st gear. The hill is too steep to use any other gear, so 1st with the brakes is the only way to go down.

Just aquired this Honda 4514. I had heard of them and seen them but had never really looked at one. Amazing machine from the 90s.
It has a 14 HP inline 2 cylinder engine. A cute little fan like the old school cars had and a little radiator. It has a timing belt on the back of the engine running the cam and a water pump. Just like a miniature car engine with  electronic clutches to turn blades on and off. Pretty hight tech for the 90s not a small thing and built like a tank weighs in at 600 pds hydrostatic trans. I have found out that almost anything you have to do to it the engine has to come out starter timing belt water pump. Very expensive parts i think most got junked for that reason, i did find out they were built by John Deere except for the honda engine.
Does anyone here have any expierience with these.

What are your riding location preferences? Mud Park? Personal Trails? Public Land?
