2003 Polaris Sportsman - Shifter Jamming

I bout a 2003 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO 4x4 last month and have been riding with my brother (experience trail rider on a honda) so i could enjoy time with my bro and the ride.

Im glad i did it, worrth every penny i payed for it, But i have a small problem.

The shifter jams on me and i have to take the side cover off and use the linkage to put it in neutral to get it unjammed (Like and old pickup with 3 speed on the tree) how do i fix it so it dont jam.

Please help

I think what is happening is one of the levers on the transmission is jamming up because it is not fully shifting out of gear before you try and select the next gear. Take the nuts off of one end of the rods. make sure everything is in neutral. Now adjust the rods so that they drop into the holes exactly without putting any pressure on the rod ends in either direction. If that doesn't work out for you, you may need a new shift assembly. My friend had the same problem ...

      I have been working the bugs out of one of our 2013 Grizzly 700's. I like the power steering more than I thought I would. The electric front diff lock is nice. Fuel injection is adequate even if a little doggy and to me harder starting. Ground clearance is nice. 
      But dang these things ride like a hay rack. I usually run down around 5psi tire pressure. Have the shocks set as soft as they will go and these things still beat me to death. 
      Have a 2004 kodiak that isn't much better but then it is not as fancy. I expected better. 
      Got the handle bars down so they are not yanking my arms out of my shoulder sockets on every bump but still. Disappointed.

      Wow...I packed a small soft side cooler with an ice pack  at -4 F and inserted my Type K thermocouple sensor inside so I could monitor the temperature without opening.  After 3 hours  the inside temperature was 60  F...OMG!   The ice pack  was solid frozen.   Standard temperature for safe storage is < 40 F.     What I found by asking was that there should be no air space in the cooler.  Packed with Ice preferably ice from connivence store (normally 0 F of less).  Food should take up  short day trip1:1 ratio.
      Good coolers are expensive.

      2009 Honda Rancher TRX420FA with shifting problems

      I have a 2009 Honda Rancher TRX420FA with shifting problems.
      Usually it shifts ok when cold but after couple minutes it will stop shifting with no codes.
      The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in first gear is 74psi. The 2nd shift clutch oil pressure when in second gear is 74psi.
      The 1st shift clutch oil pressure when in neutral is zero. The problem is when the tranny is in neutral the 2nd shift clutch pressure starts around 10-15psi and builds to 20psi. Is this normal?

      We rode here the day before the event. This is a DCNR state forest trail system. The story behind the name is miners would put their bottles of whiskey in the local springs to keep them cold until their shift was over. Part of the trail system is on old strip mines so some areas are barren, others are full forest.
