Hi im new here and need some help.

we have a 2000 Honda 450 Foreman and it gets used almost everyday. Im a trapper so i use it everymorning to check traps. we take it mudding and climbing and everything. it gets used like a work horse. well its run fine up untill the last week or so. we just snorkelled it and i wanted to see how itd run so i was driving it around and all of a sudden heard this loud popping noise and it wouldnt move anymore. you can spin the tires and its smooth but when its in gear it starts to knock. me and my dad took the whole rearend of tonight thinking it could be some of the gears in the rearend but theyre all completely fine. so my question is do yall have any idea on what could be wrong with it? thank you so much or any help

are you sure the noise is coming from the rear and not the transmission? Im not familiar with the foreman but does it have a driveshaft instead of a chain? If so maybe its the universal joints on the driveshaft. They went bad on my Yamaha Moto4 and it was a loud metallic pop every few seconds but only when in gear. when it was in neutral and on jackstands no noise.

the noise you described might have something to do with the snorkel , that is if you never herd the noise be for you added the snorkel. ive herd a popping noise twice . first time i herd a noise like that was from abuddies rubicon after he wrecked it hard. it was the front end some were in the drive line was popping when he turned the wheels. but that wasnt hard to figure out cause the whole front end was completly trashed on the count of him running his 4wheeler of the end of a train trussel . the other time i herd popping was from my friends foreman when he was trying to make his own exhaust, and that was because he had to much back pressure from running to small exhaust , which resulted was major engine failure , threw the rod out the bottom of block and then some. maybe that snorkel is to restrictive cause n some kind of detonation issues , are you shur its a pop not a rod knocking?

Hopefully someone can help me out, I purchased a 350 moto4 2wd while I'm trying to fix a dying honda. I can't see the vin number as there was damage and a bar has been welded where I think the vin should be, The decals say 350 moto4 Huntaway, it has the square gear change low, high, reverse up on the left of the handlebars and it has three rectangle lights up on the dash. after googling I'm struggling to find anything called huntaway, Any ideas? Thanks.

I have owned my 84 Honda 200m for years now and I am wanting to see what i could do to upgrade horsepower , speed , performance , power etc and do it safely and not cause future harm to the engine.
I was thinking on getting a 200x piston, will this work and give a good power increase ?  I have heard people have done this in the past and it works great. and i was also thinking on a 200x cam , will the 200x cam fit in this engine and make a difference also does it require the upgrading of any other parts and will i have to run 91 octane instead of 87 ? has anybody run this setup before and got good results ?
I was also gonna go with a 200x carb but not sure if i have to buy an intake to hook it up or will it just bolt onto the 200m intake and fit fine ?
If anyone has any suggestions and advice on what i could do it would be greatly appreciated ! thanks in advance.

Just aquired this Honda 4514. I had heard of them and seen them but had never really looked at one. Amazing machine from the 90s.
It has a 14 HP inline 2 cylinder engine. A cute little fan like the old school cars had and a little radiator. It has a timing belt on the back of the engine running the cam and a water pump. Just like a miniature car engine with  electronic clutches to turn blades on and off. Pretty hight tech for the 90s not a small thing and built like a tank weighs in at 600 pds hydrostatic trans. I have found out that almost anything you have to do to it the engine has to come out starter timing belt water pump. Very expensive parts i think most got junked for that reason, i did find out they were built by John Deere except for the honda engine.
Does anyone here have any expierience with these.

I've been using Valvolene 10w 40 ATV oil but, it's like $8.00 a quart. Is that about the going rate? Or is there cheaper alternatives that would be suitable? Thanks
