I charged my battery on a 87 yamaha timberwolf 250 and left the key on like a dummy. Now that i have a battery that is fully charged i have nothing when i hit the start button. I can jump the stator and have spark but dose not turn over fast enough for it to start, I have no lights or anhything. I checked for fuse but the is no inline fuse someone chopped it out and spliced it. I used to turn the key and have the neutral light on. But no light and when i hit the start button i get nothing. What could my issue be?

also if the neutral light doesnt come on, it can be a bad connection at the neutral/safety switch, but if you have spark, i cant see that being an issue ... usually the only time the neutral light doesnt come on is if its in gear or the connection at the safety switch

on my big bear, it is behind me (sitting on the bike), on my left hand side, away from the cylinder and more on the transmission. its just a single wire running to it. much like a temp sensor or oil sending switch on a car engine ....

thanks i found it! I was looking at it the whole time! LOL But Im gunna clean connections and see how it turns out. Is there a way to bypass the switch?

check the reverse lever and make sure that it is locked in place, and also check your starter solenoid

      Will not go into 1st but if ya go past will go into maybe next gear. Will not shift into reverse. I have see others say that the shift cam assembly dowel worn or fall out. How do I get to this? Do I need to break case in half?

      so i cant read the vin clearly but i have added some pictures, hopefully someone sees it correctly. took a picture of what it looks like, they painted it Green It is underside a SKY BLUE original. has one spark plug . 3 relays in the back + rectifier. has one relay in the front. has cdi in the front three plugs off it. 
      If you need more info or pictures please ask. 
      the wire harness is trashed i want to rewire it but correctly.

      Troubleshooting a no spark issue, was running OK, maybe a little rich, turned it off, now no spark. I've checked/ohmed out the main key switch, the start/stop switch, neutral switch, brake switch - all good. It will crank the starter, but no spark with the starter or when I try the pull start. I've checked all fuses and diodes. Swapped battery. New plug. New coil. Swapped in a used CDI - no help. Traced, removed, cleaned, reattached all grounds. Removed things like my winch from the circuits to be sure a bad relay or something was dragging it down. When testing voltages, the orange wire going from the CDI to the ignition coil shows no/very low voltage-shouldn't it have 12V on it? Sometimes I get a very weak, intermittent glow on my spark tester, but not enough to fire the plug. I've checked continuity on just about all wires in the harness. Checked/cleaned/lubed w dielectric grease- all connections, redid a few that looked old/dirty. I've checked the stator resistances, all good, but have a stator and rectifier ordered anyway, will arrive Sunday. I verified that the rectifier has a voltage output back to charge the battery while cranking - 10.5-11V, low, but expected while starter is engaged. What else can I check as part of troubleshooting? I have a Haines service manual, but the 1999 350 4x4 seems to be an odd model, there isn't an exact electrical diagram for it, but found one for another year that has all the same number of wires and same color wires, so I've referenced that. Any hints, tips or advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

      i have grinding noise in my front differential. the front right wheel is turning and the left is try to turn but no movement and make sound like a gear broken. somebody have any idea ? not enough oil in diff ?
