Big hello from Alberta, Canada

Recommended Posts

Ya there is lots of places to ride there for sure. I have been going out by Rocky Mtn house, there is lots of trails there. There also is a good rally end of August at Sundre if your into that? Hey just curious, you wouldn't happen to know much about a 1997 trail boss 250? We went out last weekend and my son went through some water and it sputtered, as soon as we hit the override away it went?? I was going to tear into it tomorrow, there has to be an issue with the electrical and if I can figure out how to disable it all together I am going to.

I initially thought the air cleaner and opened it up, dry as a bone. It is definitely something to do with that override button because my son hit it when I was trouble shooting and away it went. He then rode it holding the button for a few minutes until it started to run without hitting the button any longer. I was just doing a search and found out there is a safety module behind the fuel tank cover on the left side. Apparently the black wire is the one that controls the rev limiter, I wonder if water got in there and shorted it until it evaporated? I am going to check it out in the morning and try some dielectric grease on it, crossing my fingers that this will work? I just downloaded the service manual so I will see what it says. Thanks

This is something I'm extremely curious about. Has anyone ever attempted to buy a quad (or any other vehicle) from an impound lot? I've always wondered if this could be a bargain, or a waste of time. Google searches do turn up some helpful results. Looks like the state of NJ holds auctions online which I'd be a bit hesitant about.

My online searches haven't really turned up any results of anyone buying an ATV this way. I'd be really curious if anyone tried this, or knows someone who has. I've actually found a couple pages with online auctions for my state, but none had ATVs.

      Hello there
I'm having a problem finding a quality carburetor for a 1993 Suzuki Quad Runner lt-f 250 2x4. I find a lot that have 3-4 star ratings. And all so far don't have the right throttle Cable inlet at the top. The last one I got 4 star on Amazon has a threaded cable sheath rest that could be partially drilled to work. I would prefer to get one I don't have to modify. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

So here where I live in Newfoundland Canada, they let you drive your bike on the road provided it’s registered and insured same goes for crossing highways but on trails you don’t need to be insured. And I don’t even think you need a full license to insure your bike they said it was up to the insurance company. I’m trying to get my old 1985 Suzuki 250 registered they have to do a search for it to make sure it hasn’t been in anyone else’s name first. Hopefully it comes back clean I am pretty excited
