1998 Timberwolf oil leak

Hi all,

I am posting this hoping that someone has seen it before and knows of a solution. TIA for any help.

I had to change my pickup coil and now I have an oil leak between the engine and a stator cover. I tried fixing it 3 times by replacing gasket, replacing gasket and using the right stuff sealer in addition to the gasket. Still leaking oil. The last time I went in I thought that it may be leaking where the wire harness comes out.

I used lots of right stuff around it to seal it but still no luck. Seems like it is leaking somewhere between the wire harness and the right bottom bolt (it collects on the bottom of that bolt and then drips but it looks like it originates higher up the cover. Thanks again for any help.

      I'm in the middle of repairing damage from the chain coming off of this from the previous owner. (I learned this is somewhat common on these for various reasons.)
      What are you guys using to either help keep the chain correct and on the sprocket or guarding your engine in the case that it comes off / breaks?
      Is there an upgraded guard that can bolt around the sprocket in replacement of the currently broken OEM alluminum?
