  1. Thee is no suspension on them old ones. I call them rough riders. Old Honda's and others were all the same back then.

Understand that with those big groove tires, they grab traction. A solid axel with those tires will be a lil harder to turn. One or the other rear wheel has to break loose when turning with any tire. IMO, you need to learn to "ride" the machine not just sit on it. Meaning that you will need to shift your weight forward, backward, side to side, to get any machine to do what you want.

just stay away from wiesco, i can vouch for the namura top end kits but the wiesco pistons are horrible in my opinion, they like to heat seize and expand alot faster then stock.

They do swell. This is why a meticulous break in is needed with a Wiseco. Personnaly I like stock (cast) pistons.

  3. A cvt for racing???  I suppose the big 4x4's in XC racing.

Anyways, if you ride steep terrain, shifting in the middle of a hill sucks and possibly dangerous.

A CVT is highly dependable and is always in the right gear (ratio). You'll think of this when on a hill, trust me on that.

I love Honda's but my Rancher will be the last one for me till they (honda) comes out with a CVT. Even their auto shift still has that second of loss of momentum when shifting.

  4. It is seizing imo. Does the auto injection oiler work? Which way did you point the arrow on the piston? Did you rebuild with a china kit?

Anyways (just read last reply) how did the cylinder look? Intake side stuck and grooved the cylinder eh...??

Watch the plug going with the 90 main.

Should check the compression on the honed cylinder. :)

  5. Oh boy, Get that wallet ready LOL.

Mods are mild to wild. The Apex is the most race ready machine out of the box. 2nd is the DRR. Both good machines and the only 2 worth racing these days.

Check out: mini quad fanatics on facebook. You might get overwhelmed (as they get excited at times) but good info and maybe a race ready machine for sale at thousands less that a build.

Hetrick racing (.com) can surely help a lot.

  6. No deer~ when obama got elected I asked ppl if they voted for him. NOT 1 said they did.

To answer on the liberal question~ they are embarrassed. In my 58 years I have yet to see the dems be for the working ppl like they claim. Yet they keep voting in the ones that bend them over the most.

I wear my trump hat and everyone says they like it and that they voted for him.

Dave, clinton innocent of the things she was accused of??? Same as trump. Both are guilty of SOME of the rhetoric.

The wife looked up on clinton. At least 2 books from former staff  explaining that -> Behind the lines she treats the ppl around her lower than dirt. When Matt Lauer (NBC) unexpectedly asked about the emails, she was furious. Got off stage and mother F'd her staff and Lauer,F-er is going to loose his job. Went on and on f-bombing the NBC uppers. She isn't 1/2 of what you claim to know about her.

Clinton has killed more ppl that ebola.

  7. Dave, I deeply respect your opinion but may I say that you obviously did plenty of homework on Trump but I don't think you may have the same with Hillary. I'm sure I could be wrong.

Allow me to explain like this please: The wife hated trump. I told her that I believed in educating yourself on both candidates and vote as you see fit.

So she did. She looked up Clinton and Trump like a FBI agent. No rhetoric  he said- she said just what she considered truth.

To sum it up, (as usual) there was a lesser of the evils. Trump. I was proud of her. Not for who but for the work she put into both sides.

We'll see is correct statement for all.

So anyway... horse goes into a bar. the bartender says: hey buddy why the long face...

  8. "it has no need to move up/down to accommodate the faster speed as it has to in high range."

No it still will move the same as in high. You just can't notice the spring problem in low range.

Yes you have a good top end in low. The bad spring has nothing to do with top end, it's pancaking nicely..LOL. The spring isn't allowing the rear clutch to close giving it low end.

Another thing that should be mentioned is that the rear clutch may be partially froze up and not sliding correct causing the same effect as a spring. When you tear it apart you should be able to work the rear clutch back and forth with both hands to inspect that aspect of it.
