Im about out of ideas seeins that electronics isnt my specialty..

I read back, when this all started, the button worked fine?

Im stuck on this button thing since Ive heard of so many being bad.

OK, so you are holding the start button and jumping the wires?!

Unless Im missing something/not understanding, I think its the button now.

The start switch/button has been known to go bad.

Tell me if Im thinking right::: You are holding the start button then touching the wires together to make the starter turn?

On a side note, Ive never been a rings only guy. I figure the walls are wore too so I bore/new piston/rings.

Whats the top of the piston say?

The fiche shows: .25mm, .5mm, and 1.0mm over pistons.

I dont thing you did any thing too it. Looks like an old burnt out starter to me.

There are no gears, CVT drive. Plus it's a centrifugal clutch.

If you can do that, you have more trouble than a starter.

Id buy a starter.

ebay starters have been OK.

Kymco and Honda was together at one point. Alot of Honda stuff can work.

I busted a axel at Red Bud MX. The next morning I was at the line with a 450R axel in it. A lil grinding on the 450R axel nut spacer is all it took.

They have a good dealer network.

Any Arctic cats out there? Some of them and others use Kymcos.

In the next 30 days. If I go the kymco route. If I decide to go grizzly or foreman probably a year.

FYI: Kymcos are Tiawanese, not chinese.

Migs are the easiest.

Pro: good weld with no slag to beat off if you use the argon and steel wire. The flux core (no argon) wire will produce more slag.

con: wire feed or operator going too fast so weld doesnt penetrate. This part is fixxable with expierience.

FYI: You need the biggest 110 volt welder made (prolly 175 amps) to do good welding. I bought a 100 amp and its virtually useless.

Think before you go swamping with a belt drive or you, ll sit till it dries!

Sounds like you didnt clean the carb fully.

Remove the carb, remove both jets and clean all well.

If the plug is wet, its getting fuel.

Even if its not getting fuel, not having a spark is the main problem.

You grounded the spark plug and turned the motor over, and there is no spark, correct?

If correct, check the on/off switch and any others. It may have a brake switch. If all that stuff is good, you need to test the coil and stator (generator). You will use a ohm meter. You will need to find out the correct readings.

That will keep you busy.

Hitting the rev limiter?

What is the deal with the front brakes on the lt80s? I just bought 3 used and none of them work, what is the trick?

The pin going thru the backing plate needs to be removed, cleaned, and lubricated.

That usually helps.
