  1. im getting just about annoyed.

polaris's are just as reliable as anything else. excet honda, but thats not the point. only the EARLY model Polaris's had trouble with their belts and such.

the newer model outlaw 525's [by reviews everywhere] have not had any problems.

and NEWS FLASH the raptor is heavier. not by much but thats not the point..

    raptor has pointless weight.

and your looking at 4.4 inches of ground clearance from the raptor vs. 11 INCHES from the outlaw.

    its just all around better.

ill say it again. dont get me wrong. raptors are cool. but they arent all they are cracked up to be. they are overrated.

so why did they have so many recalls.. one of them was because it would start on fire..

he is one of the recalls

Polaris : Vehicles : InTheNews : Polaris Industries Inc. Recalls ATVs Due to Risk of Injury to Riders

    Outlaw 525

  2. ahhh o wasnt aware of that.

    thats cool.

makes me like them even more.

    but come on people.

only the people who own raptors are saying they are the best trail quads.

ill be honest, i like yamaha and in no way im i being biased but the Polaris has so much more on it.

    lighter,more power,IRS, ground clearance

    WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED?!

    to teh guy buying,

you wont be disappointed with a raptor, but you could have it a little better with the Outlaw.

untill you have to take it back to the shop every other week.. and you figure out its slow...

  3. my buddy had a raptor 700 that he raced harescrambles with....he raced it about 5 times before trading it in on a yfz 450 because the raptor was wayyyy to heavy and hard to lug around.

it has about 47 pounds on the yfz.. if you can't throw it around you shouldn't be racing....

  4. Got to choose and pick the right battles.....with my luck the paint would start pealing after a few hard rides and rust would be popping up all over....I would have held off on getting some of the accessories that you can add on at anytime and spent the money on the powdercoat and had one less thing to worry about in the long run.

well put... not knocking paint but the frame takes the grunt of everything for the most part... if you rode strickly in the dunes i wouldn't worry about it to much... anything but dunes it isn't going to stay nice and pretty for to long...

  5. thanx bot! your always a help!

btw this project will continue after repaired.

my buddy wants to hop it up a little too.

i told him toomey B1 kit

    good choice?

i put a top in on a blaster about two years ago and had 80 bucks into.. a few hours and was breaking it in... and all blasters are kick start.... very easy to work on... if your not sure on what you are doing or its your first time going into the motor i would recommend that you get the service manual.. it will show you everything you need to know in detail... good luck man...

  6. Looking at getting my first quad and want a 2008 Kawasaki Brute Force 650 4x4. List price is $6,599. What can I talk them down to? I'm going to be paying cash as well. Thanks.

with cash money i bet you can get it otd for 6 even... thats taxes and prep and all the other stuff they tack on... just tell them you can get the same bike at some place else for a given price and if they won't go that low you will walk... bet they will take the money...

  7. we do more then beer.. budweiser to monster to dads rootbeer to apple juice... its a fun job.. i get to run around on a hyster all day... alltho right now sucks cuz we are moving into a new building.. the move process on something this big is nuts..
