  1. nice place! you appear to even have a 'hide from the wife' or perhaps a 'man cave' upstairs! AWESOME!

Mine is nothing so elaborate, and I still have extra junk [from moving and being the family storage unit too] until I get all my floor space back... will post a pic when I am not ashamed of it LOL.

The wood stove out there has come in really handy!

  2. make sure your kill switch works, then turn power on and test to see power is going into the CDI. If it is, then it's prob the box, if it isn't then you may have a switch not grounding or a poor connection on the battery. the CDI needs full power to work/test right. Very hard to diagnose without having it here to check over, sorry.

  3. fibergalss is NOT going to stick to yamaha's plastic formula. Plastic doesn't even stick to their formula. YOU are aware that your fenders are NOT fiberglass right? they are plastic.

They flex A LOT. fiberglass does NOT flex. they don't get along well together, see?

If you have serious tear you are kinda limited to the Frankenstein repair or replacement of the panel. Ebay it and see if you can pick up some plastics.......

I would like to see some pics of your quad finished- I'll bet it looks too pretty to get dirty!

  4. I agree with these guys tho I don't know the suzuki system very well. when you hit the shift switch, try backing off the power - it's unlikely it will shift IN under power. It sounds like a similar system Yamaha uses - shift while moving but not under power, like and old LandCruiser hehe.

Honda is a 'shift on the fly' system that they fought for several years before perfecting.

The problem was always a thing called a 'shift angle sensor' and changing that with a newer style fixed it.

Check your owner's manual to see when you should be shifting- that blinking light could be saving you a BIG repair bill! I recommend you sit down by the fire and read that manual cover to cover- there are some things you'll want to write in there as well. Best know the machine when you need it, than not know it and get yourself into trouble right?

    Have fun!

  5. funny, that's what I was getting at too. I have seen MANY installed half way ON, but I have warrantied none. plus they are a weird size and I'll be surprised if you can find anyone to test it. Gas wise it's prob cheaper to just buy a new one. But let's try and take this logically so you don't waste a lot of time and MONEY. It doesn't grow on trees at least where I live....

  6. GUYS, buy a snowsuit.

it's a set of bibs and then a jacket over the top. Mine's a GMAX and was VERY reasonably priced, under $250, so I bought it on the spot. good thing I did.

about 50 zippered pockets and has extra sleeves in the legs to cover your snowboots. DON'T wear your summer boots, you'll freeze. I hate cold feet. I fact, I always ride in winter with at least 6 of those little heaters [about $1 each] at 7/11 that assures if anything gets wet or cold we can solve it. and I always load firewood with the quad.

One time I figured I would use up my green wood by starting it with fuel. I forgot my fuel was 50/50 unocal race fuel 108/regular pump gas. It was spring before my eyebrows grew back and when it finally got warm, we ran out of beer! what a day. We DID have fun riding but the wind chill was such that my friends opted for the fire and the beer....

you never have a camera when ya need one LOL but I;m workin on it :leright:

live and learn, always overprepare.:hitself:

  7. Tom I was waiting for you........

L-tryptophan is the primary ingredient in my sleeping meds. It's 0738 and I havent been to bed yet. Works quite well doesn't it? hahaha

after years of this stuff I see how clueless the doctors are......

EAT THE MEAT! GRAB A BEER, CRASH ON THE COUCH, TAKE A SNOOZE. You just saved yourself a buncha money and prob feel pretty damm good! LOL

badda boom badda bing. you dont snooze, we come by, you sleep then.

your wife called, CRASH BANG try the turkey!:shoot:

  8. I don't know about presents but I could sure feed em. SHOPPING is not my forte. I would rather face incoming fire !

THAT IS SO HONORABLE, AND SOMETHING WE HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR A LONG TIME NOW: TAKE CARE OF OUR FAMILY FIRST, IT IS BECOMING A REALITY.

  9. if you can't find a leak, pop the hood and reinstall the radiator cap- it takes a fair amount of force. Also, tighten all the clamps on the radiator hoses while you are there. Don't go "HULK" on them just snug them up OK? :fact:

  10. for over 20 years there I had to work 2 of the 3: Thanksgiving, Xmas, New Years. I hated it. It was a waste of time and always created hard feelings with management. They ended up going broke anyway, the greedy so-and-sos....serves 'em right.

Bot don't tell me you're sending xmas presents to Muslims??????? hahaha

    what's the rush? they don't celebrate Christmas......:skeptic:

YALL have a GREAT TURKEY DAY! my good friends

Enjoy your family, friends, and take pictures, we all want to see them!
