  2. Welcome to COHVOPS

this is the riding area we created.....check it out, you guys can do it too.

    Welcome to COHVOPS

    Welcome to COHVOPS

just to make sure. let me tell you about the USFS experiment:

this is[was?] the largest riding area in the USA operated, maintained and policed by the USFS and a local MC/ATV club. COMAC. it is currently 320 miles of trails, 110,000 acres of groomed, marked and mapped trails with 4 campgrounds with potties plus you can ' primitive camp' if you want within reason. Since a large amount of the lumber still comes from ORYGUN we are still a bit touchy about fire [like drilling oil wells right?] we REQUIRE SPARK ARRESTERS and also honor other states' off road stickers but if you are without ours are only $11.00 for 2 years and you'll have this cool sticker when you get home. check out the site/link for more info. questions just email me. we all know the gumment dont we? ;p

I have room for ya and am looking forward to it!!!!yer gonna love it

  3. got the atc185 running today! it was the CDI box. $158 from Honda, 34.98 w/ 3 yr wty on ebay. started on the first pull! needs a little carb work but I can handle that. It SAVED my grandkids vacation! I need one more ride- they had 4 out of 5 on the trail today! IT WAS COOL

If anyone knows of a friend in need of a pulse generator or electronic advance, I have both which I don't need. tested good. very reasonable. ;p

  4. WOW that wasnt that big a bike! 450 at most, I would guess a 250. and the locals weren't trying to kill you for parts??? I don't go near that country anymore. that's one of the reasons haha. and no, the other did not involve tequila.....

that looks like here in september, the damm dust is like talcum powder and LOVES goggles! being an old fart I wear bifocals under the goggles and it can make for a frustrating day.... at the end of the day we all smell like goats, look like phantoms, after shave smells kinda like budweiser and we swap stories! this is what living is all about my friend!

    :jimlad:

  5. damm septic just backed up after 11 years- now I cant concentrate, sorry!

yeah when we were young[this will include your Dad] we did some really stupid things with crappy tires and 3 inches of suspension. I'll bet your Dad has some cool stories....I do and I'm a little older than he is but not enuf to matter in dirt bike terms.

We are the reason you guys now enjoy 12"+ of suspension! the jeremy mcgraths of the world can thank our kidneys and bladders just for starters LOL.

I bot rear shox for my DKW from Charlie Curnutt out of his garage in the late 60's. charlie who?

    those days are gone.....

    ;p

  6. it's easier to find a job when you already have one: strange but true.

since you have two jobs, I wouldn't worry about this one.

screw the 2 weeks notice, they'll give you a bad reference anyway. Theaters go thru ppl faster than mcdaonlads does this won't be a surprise to them.

    just tell them

    Hey, it's been fun BUT

I dont appreciate the way I have been treated

    I hate the hours

    the pay sucks

my girlfriend complains that I always smell like popcorn.

That should do it my friend.

  7. you said, it, your alignment is shot. the engine is working much harder plus there could be other problems. remember the old stubby vans? OK, sorry, we used to have old stubby vans with the engine in a housing just like the rhino. most of us with more than 2 brain cells installed electric booster fans to keep the damm things cool since they LOVED to vaporlock. If it has one, install another. something with a switch you can control. the earlier rhinos had vaporlock problems with the heat captured in the doghouse so us olf farts came up with ways to solve this!

that's the craps, man, let me know how I can help you out here.

    "No Bloviating" per MWTE hahaha

  8. aw crud, I'm happy everyone is OK.

same thing happened to me years ago at Saddleback Park. but I was on a bike. Guy racing the inside and nailed me good. Imagine if you had been on a bike!!

Take that ride to a dealer or insurance center and make DAD pay for labor and everything- there is no reason he should not be 100% responsible. As for the kid, we all make mistakes and now it is his turn to learn it- the hard way. Fortunately kids heal fast .. and he prob won't have a scar to brag about HAHAHA hang in there buddy.

  9. you can buy a cheapo trailer like I did and mod it to work [ I don't CARE what ppl think], reverse the rims or get a bigger truck.

I also have a portable winch setup for my jacked up pickup to put the raptor in there. after two crashes, we winch it in now. chain goes from stake pockets at front to winch and we pull it up the ramp slowly. I just extended the cables to reach the truck battery..... there's a remote control so you could manhandle it if necessary. like $50 at harbor freight. something to think about anyway. see in winter here ramps are BAD, like bridges, they get ICY. 400+ lbs on your chest = not good. I had to survive the 'shame on me' before I created this. and now I see other ppl using it around here as well.

  10. I use a 4x8 harbor freight trailer with fold down ramps front and rear behind a pickup. It becomes a ramp as well.

drop the tailgate and the front ramp, rear ramp and ride the quad up into the truck. then close the front ramp and lash the second quad to it in the trailer. Surprising what you can come up with when youre broke hahaha....will post pics after I learn how later today.
