  1. Thank you very much!! I am going to give them a call now, and hopefully it is something simple to address.
  2. Unfortunately, the warranty time has passed, so getting them to fix anything under a warranty is out of the question. I am going to call them and see what, if anything can be done, or if they have suggestions or recommendations. I wish the bike shop here would service my King Quad, but because it is a 2005 and again their assertion that they can't get parts, they won't touch it.
  3. Gentlemen, I know my original post is dated, but I do have an update and another issue. I found a Suzuki dealership about 2 hours away, so with some help, I loaded my King Quad on a trailer, and went for a 100 mile drive. They had rebuild the top end of the motor, and I provided a new ECM and some other parts. She ran great until a week ago. I have fouled 3 plugs so far, and it appears that the fuel injections system is pumping tons more fuel into the plug than it can handle. Another friend of mine pulled the 1st plug, and he installed a 2nd new NGK plug. Only took about 2 minutes of it running, and that plug was done. So off to the store I went and bought 2 more plugs. He came by again today and put in another plug, and at this point the battery was about drained. It started, but then died and restarting it was not going to happen as the battery was drained. I had the battery checked, and was told that the battery was good but needed to be charged. So it is on the charger, and we will try again. I was doing some reading another thread and they were not getting enough fuel, and it turned out to be a bad wire/connection. So I have downloaded the manual and I am going to let Tim take a look at the manual and see if we can find a bad wire. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
  4. While I have an 05, it does the same thing. About a year ago, I had the top end rebuilt, but that has not stopped it from continuing to do the same thing. I would love to hear someone offer an answer to this. I only have about 170 hours on mine, as I don't use it to fun ride, but to work. We can hope someone has an answer.
  5. Put the pressure gauge on it the King Quad, and initially it was reading right at 30 psi. Then bled some of the fuel off, and it went to about 43 psi, and after a few minutes was running like it should. Then I discovered that I have a broken left rear CV But it's running so I have to figure out who sells the best CV's for it. I am going to replace both, just to be safe.
  6. That you have even taken the time for this old disabled vet, is worth thanking you!! I, along with Gary will check it all.
  7. I will, and thank you!! I watched the video, and now I'm trying to locate a sending unit, just in case. Thank you again!!
  8. There is a screen in the bottom of the tank and it was clean. I will have to look at it to find the sending unit. The pump did not come with a screen.
  9. The pickup filter was not changed. The hose connections are correct. Please make me smarter!! Where is the pickup filter located on the bike?
  10. It is an OEM pump that was put on. Each time I turned the ignition on, fuel would pump out, but according to the specs, it is supposed to come out at around 43 psi. I was able to put my thumb over the line, and no fuel would push past. The tank was clean before the new pump was put in. I am running 100% ethanol free gas in it, and have been doing so for a while.
  11. It is fuel injected, and the pump does come on. We pulled the fuel line and each time I would turn the key to the on position it would pump fuel. It is just not pumping at 43 psi, I am almost certain of it. What photos would you like to see? It will be tomorrow morning before I can send anything to you.
  12. Are there vacuum hoses other than the primary fuel line??? Recommendations on what else to check??? The local Suziki dealership will not help because it older than 10 years old. So it is me and the Polaris tech and he knows much more than me, but probably not as much as you regarding Suziki's.
  13. Yes it is, but for an 05' it only has 370 miles on it. It is my primary means of getting around on my property since my electric wheelchair just won't go where I want to go. Oh well, such is life. Thanks again!!
  14. I appreciate the response. I fully suspect that you are right, and I have already located another. It is just such a pain on these to put in, because there is so much that has to come off before you can even get to it!! Many thanks!! Dave
  15. About 6 months ago I had a new fuel pump, ECM, stator and heaven only knows what else installed on my 05 King Quad. It has been running great until the other day when I went to get it off the trailer, and it would not start. Pulled the plug, and it was a little dirty, but not bad, but I put a new one in just for good measure. Still would not start. Pulled the fuel line connector underneath and turned on the switch and fuel was coming out, but with little to no pressure. I turned the switch off and on multiple times to fill up a water bottle with fuel, and the fuel was good. As it turns out, the fuel pump is out of warranty (go figure). So, I'm going to put a pressure gauge on it tomorrow and see what it is pumping. Is there anything else I can check? Many thanks, David
  16. Well since I already have the brand new one, and Gary has the oil etc., once you open it up I am going to go ahead and let him put it in. He needs the money to help take care of the young man he has taken in. It helps him and can’t hurt me though I am not rich either.
  17. This old man appreciates all the help you all can offer. I was told by the Suziki dealer in Atlanta that the stator would cause firing or lack or firing issues. I have already purchased a rectifier, but have not installed it yet. I guess I need to get Gary to do that while he has it apart. Thank you ALL again!! Sure do miss riding, and I'm not talking about that electric wheelchair!!
  18. A friend of mine who is a Polaris tech has it at his home now, and is working on it, and we are trying to trouble shot it, going least expensive remedy to more expensive remedies. My last resort will be to replace the ECM/ECU. I have found a new OEM unit on eBay, but have held off until he sees if the stator fixes the issue. We have gone through all the ground issues, and checked all the fuses, and the only code that came up was the coil and the FI started flashing after several attempts to crank it. Being a 100% disabled vet (thanks to a RPG from a Serb terrorist in 96) and who has 27 acres that I like to get around, my electric wheelchair just won't cut it. My King Quad has always been my trusty wheels and I am not going to give up on it!! I can get out early in the mornings and lay on it and hunt from it without any issues, and then winch up bambi when I get lucky.
  19. Thank you for the response. It is not getting any spark. It is turning over, but not firing. The fuel pump is pumping away as it should. I have replaced the spark plug and a new coil, and getting no arc from the plug. Air cleaner is clean and oiled. That is what the Suziki dealer did on two occasions when they would work on it. Since they have changed hands, they will not longer work on it, stating that parts are no longer available for it. It has never been jump started. I have put it on the trickle charger on from time to time, and one time replaced the battery.
  20. It is fuel injected, and it is pumping away. Just no spark!
