  1. ok wylde1, u got the same quad I have....but mines a 2000,,,starter is on the bottom in the front???? Need to replace it....

yes it is on the bottom and in the front. Mine needs to be replaced too, but I have been using the recoil. It usually only takes 2 or 3 pulls so its not a big deal.

It doesn't look difficult to take off, but I don't have the money for a new one, so I haven't actually looked too hard at it.

  2. that RAC land has a little of everything from mud, trails, hillclimbs, rocks, even sandy sections at some points. Riding quads is now considered a good form of excercise so four hours of it will leave you pretty sore. As for the rude people, that is why I have a nice quiet undisclosed location that I ride.

  3. I have not gone riding there since Rac started with the permits, so I am not sure how they have it laid out. I was under the inpression you got a permit for your vehicle and a sticker for your Atv or bike. There is a parking area near the Wal-Mart in St. Clair. It is on what is called the Burma road in St Clair. If you can find this there is parking on the right side of the road.

  4. I took the fall skating & now with the same hip I tried to take out a tree & my quad was less than a foot from going down into the river. I went face first into the mud not to tasty. I've had a knot on my hip for 2 weeks now. The only thing my wife said is I wish I had been there with the camara and then lol. I don't know what happen to honey are u ok!

Honey are you OK goes out the door real quick. I just ended up trail rashing my back pretty bad and my wife showed absolutely no mercy cleaning it out for me:aargh:.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

  5. It is all pretty much just about respect. It is easy sometimes on the trail to end up at someones property by accident, if said property is marked I turn around and head back. There have been times where there are no markings and I do not know I am on private grounds. In the area where I live and ride this happens a lot and land owners instead of just putting up signs will boobie trap their land. Land owners need to be educated on this subject also. I have come across everything from boards with nails hidden in puddles to fish hooks on line hanging in trees. Respect earns Respect.
