I have tried rocking it and it does make coming out of park easier. It just feels like linkage is out of adjustment or bent. May just be me not being used to the shifter yet. It runs great and all fluids look clean and don't smell burnt or anything. I was just looking to buy replacement fluids on amazon. They sell the Polaris oil change kit and other fluids. What do you recommend about places to buy fluids and should I look at synthetics or stay with Polaris recommended.

I checked all fluids and they seem fine. I might go ahead and change again to be sure. There is no obstruction that I can see on the shifter. It shifts smooth from one gear to the next, but moving from Park you have to really tap it or push pretty hard until it moves.

That is a 67 RS that I built with my son in our garage. It was an awesome experience. Shifting is very hard to move out of park. I just bought this ATV from a person my wife works with. They gave me a folder with receipts for service from the Polaris dealer. They never had any issues just did routine maintenance. It has 252 hours on it. Do you think I should change fluids?

Hey Guys, I'm pretty new to ATV's and never owned a Polaris before. Lately I have noticed that it is very hard to shift from Park to any other gear. Is there an adjustment, or is that just the way they are?

I am new to the site. Just checking things out and trying to learn about my new to me 2014 Polaris Sportsman 400HO. I want to add an accessory port for running a small air compressor or charge phone. Just looking around at some of the other posts.

Hey Guys, I just bought my first Quad, a 2014 Sportsman 400 HO and want to replace the battery. It's not dead, but the voltage seems low and I'm not sure how old the battery is. What does everybody recommend for a replacement battery? Is there a difference that I should know about? I see Gel batteries, Regular Acid sealed batteries and a lot of different prices. Any help would be appreciated.

2014 Polaris Sportsman 400 HO Replacement Key

Thanks for the article. Unfortunately the only key I got with the Quad does not have any markings or numbers on it. I went to 2 locksmiths and they don't have the blank. I thought I could buy a couple blanks from Polaris but apparently they can't determine which blank fits my bike by the VIN or engine code. I guess I'll just have to buy a couple of each type and match it to the key and then have them cut at a locksmith. -
Does anybody know how to determine which of the 2 key blanks fits my ATV. I have called several dealers, and Polaris and nobody seems to know which key fits which ATV. I thought with the ViN number they could look it up, but apparently not. I hate to spend the money at Polaris for a key blank and then pay a locksmith to cut it, but the locksmiths around me don't have the Polaris keys in stock. I find them on Amazon and places, but I can't tell which key blank is right for my ATV. Any help would be appreciated.
