  2. LET'S BUILD SOME TRAILS!!! Many of you have expressed interest in helping us build more and better trails at Doc Hilt Trails. We have cut several new trail areas around stream bottoms this past winter that need a finishing touch. Git 'er Done! Come on out this Saturday & Sunday, February 12th & 13th. The weather forecast looks fantastic! Bring your good cheer and tools and let's plan to get started around 9:00am each day. We'll work for a couple of hours and then play the rest. You provide the help and we'll provide lunch and free trail riding the rest of the day. It's a great way to have a lot of fun and meet new people to ride with... all the while working together to enhance the trail riding experience of many. What to bring: Any tools for clearing brush and small trees like loppers, clippers, hand saws, bow saws, self-powered tools, work gloves, and good boots, and maybe some rope to pull debris away. Please call me about any specialty equipment that you might be able to provide, especially heavy equipment! And don't forget to be thoughtful to your sweetie next Monday, it's Valentines! Doc Hilt Trails - ATV park - Home Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions. Thanks, Gannon Murphy [email protected] cell: 770-241-3182 Note: Volunteering is optional, you may simply want to ride the trails at out regular rates, and that's OK.
  3. Join us for our 1st year celebration on Saturday, July 17th, 2010 for a Poker Run and night ride hosted by the Cheaha Trail Riders. Poker Run registration begins at 4pm and Run starts at 7pm (not a race). Ride until 10pm. Poker Run is $10 per person. Participation not required. Easy drive from Atlanta, Birmingham, Columbus, and Montgomery. Go to Doc Hilt Trails - ATV park - Home for more info and directions.
  4. Volunteers just added 2 great new trails for everyone to ride, T18 and T19. It was accomplished the 3rd weekend in February at Doc Hilt Trails in Lineville, AL. T18 is a mature forest trail on the mountain that's completely finished and also has an alternate hill climb. T19 still needs some trimming done on a portion of it, but it is pushed all the way through. Great work guys! You gotta love 'em. Doc Hilt Trails - ATV park - Home
  5. What are the other bills that are on Capital Hill for consideration that would also affect riding? Does anyone keep a list of these Wilderness bills or a general watch list?
  6. Last weekend for Doc Hilts $9.99/driver summer special on 9/26 & 9/27. Last weeks super heavy rains have moved out and this weekend should be great for camping too! Doc Hilt Trails - ATV park - Home
  7. Just added 2 new mud bog areas just in time for Labor Day Weekend at Doc Hilt Trails. One is wet year round, while the other will be good after a rain. Better bring your winch (or a buddy to pull you out) and count on using the wash station before you leave. While we had the track hoe, we also added a stream crossing as well. 8. We have uploaded a new web page for Doc Hilt Trails recently. Take a look and let us know what you think. We also added more trail to T3 and T13 making full loops, installed tables under the pavillion, and widened out camp areas on T14 thru T16, and installed a free wash station. 10. I am looking to get a new ATV trail area ready for riding in the Lineville, AL area. It is south of I-20 below Anniston. We hope to have it on-line this summer.
  11. I have talked to a club out of Sylacauga (about 100 miles away from the park) that was instrumental in getting this park up and running. They hold several rally's there each year and love it. There will be a new park opening in Lineville, AL soon. I am working diligently to get it open and the some of the founders of the same club is helping me with design suggestions. Check out Wilburns and let me know what you think.
  12. I'm new to this. Any riders close to AL/GA line around I-20 area?
