  1. Hey everyone! Ya'll have been so great and welcoming to our new Ambassador program, we wanted to be sure that Quad Crazy was getting info directly from us about the Stay The Trail educational program too. The program was started in 2003 with the purpose of educating the public about responsible trail use and fostering a sense of stewardship among OHV enthusiasts. The "Where To Go" section of our website is another great resource for anyone looking for trail info. We host all of the Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM) and overlay them on the Google mapping system. We want this site to be the place you go to for trail maps as you plan a run. The MVUM maps show what trails are open for what types of vehicles. If a trail is not on these maps, it is not an open trail. We attend events and set up at trailheads throughout the season to ensure that folks are getting the info and education they need to be responsible on public trails. We have posters and brochures that quickly review these guidelines (all of the Etiquette info can also be found on the website). Very soon, we will have a HUGE announcement about mobile mapping options! Sam and Matt are going to be around on the forum, keeping everyone updated on what is new with the program and answering questions. Feel free to ask us any questions! Oh – and don’t forget to follow us on FACEBOOK!
  2. Is there some way to adjust the choke cable on these quads? Wont hit a lick with cable in .You can pull choke cable out of the carb putyour finger over the hole and it will fire rite up.LEt your finger off and it will idle high .Put your finger back over the hole and it dies .I have put a new kit in the carb and everythng was done to factory spec .But jst cant figure out whats up with the choke .Any info would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

  4. The Wisconsin ATV Assoc. made this cool statewide map that people can use to see all the trails in one spot. I helps plan trips / find camping etc. and it also has all the routes on it. I know this has been a massive undertaking taking years to make happen and the maps are now for sale for $8 on their site. Here is a picture -
  5. the start button quit working so i intalled new one, still nothing, it will not try and start at all like its not getting and power to the button so i thot its the cylinoid (which sits next to the battery which is above the left back tire) I put brand new one on still nothing...when i jump the cylinoid with a piece of copper wire it starts right up.... is there a fuse or something that leads to the starter button that could be blown? I took the seat off and tracked the wire from the cylinoid to the starter button and i noticed the wire goes into something that is wrapped in some kind of black rubber plastic looking square shaped thing... the wire goes in one side and out the other? what is inside that black rubber thing? a fuse? could that be the problem? i dont want to cut it open if i dont need to..... all help is needed thanks....
  6. Does any one have this manual? 93 trail boss 350 2x4 Thanx
  7. Started to get a little tired out. [ame] [/ame]
  8. I am desperately seeking some help from all of you on trying to locate a free download of a manual. One of the biggest problems that I have is that I'm very computer illiterate. So if anybody can help me, by sending me a link to a free download on the manual that I am requesting. It would be much appreciated. Or if you can email it to me that would be the easiest for me. [email protected] Thank you for your time, hope there's somebody out there that can help me.
  9. Ok i got a 1991 polaris trail boss 350 i bought from my neighbor and he didn't know what was wrong with it here the piston skirt broke off and dropped in the bottom end i ripped motor out and ripped it apart to get the pieces out and everything looks good so i put it back together it needed a key so i bought a new one well it didn't work so i bought one off a junk wheeler and it worked but wont shut it off i revs up so what could be causing this. And my transmission dont have high range what made this happen?
  10. Good morning all. I am fairly new to the trail riding scene (but love it so far). The few trails I have gone on someone else has guided. I want to go with a few friends but not familiar with the trails here in Arizona. Somebody at a Bass Pro Shop mentioned to me that there is a specific Garmin or GPS gadget that trail riders buy that allows you to download maps and what not so you can pretty much take any trail anywhere in the state and not get lost. Does anyone have any recommendations or does anyone have a specific Garmin model that they use for trail rides. I need to get something ASAP and I figured I would ask for any/all opinions on this one. Thank you all in advance.
  11. We made Trail Town as a side product of our mapping products. The concept is simple.. list the businesses that are actually on the trail to help riders figure out where they can rest, eat and play while out on the trails. This program launched a few weeks ago with great results so far. We want to know what you think though... Along with the listings, maps and videos we also allow riders to send in their own reviews of the places we post. The businesses listed can also claim their listing and update pictures and info. SO far we started with ATV since we also run www.watva.org and it goes hand in hand. A portion of the Trail Town listing actually goes to make the business part of WATVA too, helping fuel more riding area creation and a stronger information network. It also sparked a new web show called Riding Adventures Today which includes all the trail town videos for a place we visit but also trail info, product reviews and other neat things you'll want to check out when at a location. Below are a few clips to give you an idea of what it is about Pineland Camping Park | ATV UTV Trail Town Listing [video=youtube;8xZUCNndZdo] Again, Trail Town is being made to help riders plan trips and mark locations to visit along the way. We are still working on the site and adding new locations every day. See more at - Trail Town Facebook Riding Adventures Today Facebook

  13. i have a 2003 polaris trail boss, it hasent been run i about 2 years. the shifter is froze up and wont budge, does anyone know how to get it unstuck? also i need to know what wire to unplug so i can get it too start in any gear. thanks
  14. My wife has a well used 325 Trail Boss and recently she noticed there is a distinct rhythmic clicking or popping noise that sounds like its coming from the chain/ sprocket area. Increases with speed and happens in fwd or reverse. I jacked up the rear of the quad and rotated the tires and there is no sound when the drivetrain is unloaded. Any suggestions on what this could be or how to troubleshoot? Im new to 4-wheelers, so this might be something pretty simple but I just dont have much experience working with them. Would appreciate any help or suggestions
  15. I happened across a 1995 Polaris 250 Trail Boss today. The machine was in excellent condition with the exception of the motor which the owner explained to me had seized up and the crank was shot. I've looked around and have found several lower ends but not of 1995. How interchangeable are they and if so what years will work? I pored through the free manual on this site but it doesn't go into particulars about year to year compatibility. Thanks Mike
  16. Alright here we go mi have a fourtrax 300. Right the mountain all the time, and music would help. Gotta a cooler and wanna rig it up in that. Thinking of putting a extra battery for it and the 3500 pound winch and extra lights.. But where do I start? I don't know how to rig the radio to twelve volt or what to do battery wise. I'm thinking of running a outerwear on a snorkel. And then doing away with the air box so I can fab a battery box. Would this work?! Also, spacers and a lift. I wanna do both. But will I be sacrificing my bearings? Thanks! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

  19. Hello everybody. I recently bought a '92 Polaris Trail Boss 4x4 250 for a project bike for my sons to ride. It's a 2 stroke air cooled motor, chain driven bike, and the previous owner had a shop bore over the motor .040 I was told. He also removed the front drive shafts, so it's basically a 2WD now. LOL. When I purchased it it was in pretty rough condition. Brakes didn't work, hard to start, rusty frame, chains were covered in muck, flat tires (wrong size too), torn seat, would grind when u put it in Drive, but when it did get it started it tore down the road like a bat out of Hell, so I knew I found a keeper. I have since fixed the brakes, replaced fuel lines, air/fuel/oil filters, tires, rebuilt the carb w/ a carb kit, replaced breather/vent/drain hoses on carb and reupholstered the seat, replaced the rear chain, and replaced spark plug and ignition coil. I use Bel Ray SL2 oil in her. I did not replace the battery. We ride this bike on trails and it runs pretty good now. Occasionally it will backfire (loud), but not every ride. Since the day I bought it it takes forever to start the engine. I mean like 30 seconds to a minute of trying to start her. I turn choke on, I flutter the throttle, and hold the START button. This is the only way she'll start. I hold the start button in for approx 10 seconds at a time, but I'm concerned I'm going to burn out my starter if this persists. Now after we ride the bike and she's warmed up she starts faster. Still not as fast of a start as my '98 Yamaha Big Bear 350 which immediately starts first try. It's stubborn on the FIRST start up. Now I live in Florida and it's always HOT when we ride, so even when the motor is cold it's enjoying 85-95 degree weather. Any thought or suggestions how to fix my quad's problem? Sorry, I mistyped the Title of this Thread. Polaris is a 1992 NOT a 1991
  20. Has anyone here tackled The Amazon Trail at Burning Rock yet? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OU_SK2QnOI]The Amazon at Burning Rock - Muddiest Off-Road Trail - YouTube[/ame]
  21. I have a Polaris 250, 2 stroke. The oil pump drive gear disintegrated due to age It’s made of plastic. I ordered a top end kit, crank bearings, oil pump gear (steal)! I had the cylinder bore 10 thou. Starts right up and runs great until it warms up. Then want to die at an idle and seem to run hot like it is running to lean. I brought up the needle on the slide to richen it up but it runs very rich. ( 2 stroke pop chug pop) Like they do when running rich. I wonder if the WSM piston is not expanding when hot or if the bore job was a poor job.
