  1. Hey everyone! Ya'll have been so great and welcoming to our new Ambassador program, we wanted to be sure that Quad Crazy was getting info directly from us about the Stay The Trail educational program too. The program was started in 2003 with the purpose of educating the public about responsible trail use and fostering a sense of stewardship among OHV enthusiasts. The "Where To Go" section of our website is another great resource for anyone looking for trail info. We host all of the Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM) and overlay them on the Google mapping system. We want this site to be the place you go to for trail maps as you plan a run. The MVUM maps show what trails are open for what types of vehicles. If a trail is not on these maps, it is not an open trail. We attend events and set up at trailheads throughout the season to ensure that folks are getting the info and education they need to be responsible on public trails. We have posters and brochures that quickly review these guidelines (all of the Etiquette info can also be found on the website). Very soon, we will have a HUGE announcement about mobile mapping options! Sam and Matt are going to be around on the forum, keeping everyone updated on what is new with the program and answering questions. Feel free to ask us any questions! Oh – and don’t forget to follow us on FACEBOOK!
  2. I finally found an awsome app for your phone that shows you on a map all the trails near your location. You can read or add reviews, look at picts...etc Its called: atv escape John
  3. Hi Y'all.. I'm new to the site. I added a few of our favorite riding spots. I'll keep adding more.. Just wanted to introduce myself. I would love to meet more Washington riders- and more female riders!. So stop by and say Hi!

  6. This is some exciting news for those who ride the Hatfield McCoy Trails!! The trail authority is working on a connector to connect Rockhouse to the Buffalo Mtn Trail. I copied and pasted this from a blog on the Hatfield McCoy site!! Wednesday, May 14, 2014 Devil Anse Connector...starts soon... Devil Anse Connector to start work today Hey folks, Big Jim here comin' to you from the heart of HMT Country. And boy do I have some big news for you. In about two hours work should start going full tilt on the new Devil Anse Connector that will hook up our famous and super-popular Rockhouse Trails to the Matewan area. As you know, Rockhouse is very popular -especially among our extreme riders- and it is housed in two counties - Mingo County- via Gilbert and Logan County via the town of Man. Some time back it was announced that the next phase of work for HMT would be to connect trails together starting with connecting the trails in Mingo County together then connecting the trails in Logan County together. Well, construction on that phase starts in earnest today. Awhile back I ran into somebody I know who is in the know who told me "something big is coming real soon," but would not confirm anything. So Monday evening I ran up to the town of Man where Deputy Director Johnny Fekete lives and met with him after the town council meeting where Johnny shared the good news with the town council. Fekete said work will soon be completed over the next two months on the Rockhouse trail connector that should make a lot of different people happy for several different reasons- not the least of which would be lessening ATV traffic in one residential area. I hung around a little to talk with Johnny about this. “We will start pushing on Wednesday on the Devil Anse Connector, “ Fekete said. “This is a long time proposal and when it is completed it will connect the Rochouse Trail to the town of Matewan.” Fekete said he hoped the project would be completed in a few months, barring any unforeseen delays. “This is our big project for the year.” Fekete said the idea for the Devil Anse Connector goes back a decade or so to the early days of the Hatfield-McCoy Trails. Now that most of the trails are completed the Hatfield-McCoy Regional Recreation Authority is looking at connecting them together. Currently the trails offer over 600 miles of managed trails in and around several towns in Southern West Virginia. The trails have proven to be a great success in regards to bringing in tourism dollars to the area and the HMRRA wants to continue that success in making the coalfields a popular tourism destination. “This will be a very big thing for our riders, “ Fekete said of the Devil Anse Connector. Great news for the trail riders and area businesses!
  7. Does any one know of some public trail systems in Tennessee. I live near Chattanooga if you know where that is. Anywhere would be great.
  8. Here's my latest video from a ride last week. Yup, there is still SOME snow up in the mountains. The video is a little longer than I wanted, but, I had some great footage I thought, so I Hope you enjoy the video ... [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5WWHc1J_Pw] [/ame]...
  9. We kind of fell off this since introducing the new TRAILS section. We NEED your help and support by adding YOUR ATV trail or riding area into our database. This way, we can organize an informative resource for all of our members in the community. In addition, if you see information about other trails online or in some publication, please feel free to add those also. The more trails, the better the trail resource becomes. The release post by Admin is here: http://www.quadcrazy.com/atvforum/announcements-support/3939-new-trails-section.html So ADD YOUR TRAIL OR RIDING AREA TODAY!

  12. If you like scenic trails with beautiful views and great places to stop for a snack, lunch or just to gas up then consider central Maine. As most of you probably know Maine has over 6,600 miles of ATV trails!. Canaan is in the heart of it all. With direct trail access from several lodging establishments you can head out and in several directions for a few days of riding or a week of adventures. I'll be posting pictures from some of the rides...( when I figure out how!). Check out Central Maine Cabins, Pet Friendly, Hike, Kayak, ATV, Bike as a place to stay. Our local club is currently signing a new access route that will be ready in a few weeks giving us a way to get to the Moosehead lake area, Bingham, Moscow, Harmony and more. Who wouldn't want to get out I95 and get on the trail sooner? We also have had riders who have done the Translab loop on motorcycle stay and say we are a great last stop before returning home. See you on the trails Denise
  13. I went out today checking on some trails for downed trees and other things I will need to clean up before spring. I am still working on getting my Drift HD cam set up, so the quality isn't where I would like it to be. My average speed was around 30 but even tho I got up to 40 once or twice, I think the video looks like I was going a lot faster. Maybe that has to do with the frames per second setting. Anyways, I hope ya'll like it, and I am working on getting some other people out riding with me, so I can get some good action shots. Sooner or later I will learn how to make better soundtracks too, so please bear with me, I am not quite up to Wyldes level of video making. 17. Decided to get up early Saturday morning & head 165 miles South to Mayfield, Utah to meet my younger brother, who has family down there, and do some rid'in on some of the Arapeen trails. :partyc: But at 0300 the thunder and lighting & downpour woke me up & I wasn't sure I was going to go. But I decided, "What the heck !" ... but once I got on the freeway, I wasn't so sure I had made the right decision ... Dang but the water was com'in down and 55mph felt way to fast to be traveling !! About 65 miles down the road the rain quit ... or I should say, the storm had passed that area ... & the roads were semi dry & the sky was clear ... sorta ... for another 40 miles before it started coming down again. I was thinking this whole time that the trails where going to be beyond muddy & slippy if we even went rid'in. But, the last 40 miles the rain had quit again ... so things were look'in up. :hurrayc: I met my brother & his wife at a small cafe for some vittles & then back to his in-laws to unload .... and meet his brother-in-law, his wife & their son ... so that's when I told there would be five of us riding. Man, that's more people than I've ridden with in a LONG time !! :toetap05c: And after we got to one of the trail heads, I also remembered why I don't ride weekends or holidays since I retired ... I've never seen so many freak'in people outside of the dunes !! However, it really wasn't to bad out on the trails .... so it really wasn't TOO bad !! :wasntme: We did 69 miles ... had sunshine, some rain, dust, mud ... and an overall great time !! I was going to head back home, but they talked me into spending the nite & the vittles they cooked up made it all worth it !! Yum ! Yum ! Here’s a short video of some of the days action ... hope you enjoy it !! And remember, change the quality setting to 1080p & use either the middle size or full screen, for an overall excellent viewing experience .............. WHAT ?? :seeyac: ... :smilielol5c: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geogFnH8SEU]01 Sept 012 - Arapeen Trail Rid'in - YouTube[/ame] ...
  18. The black trx 450 is stock except for the Pro Circuit T4 Full exhaust, both running Razr 2's. Good day of quading on August 30th 2012. This main trail were riding on is pretty sketchy because trucks, jeeps and 4x4 quads can be coming the opposite way at high speeds Ive had a few close calls already on these trails with oncoming riders.
