  1. Does anyone have any contacts on getting Yamaha axels? I have a 450 with a unknown lift and extended axles. Drivers rear tore the cv joint apart, i tried taking a factory assembly and removing cv to fix my current axle. But the splines on the cv are totally different. Im pretty sure I need at 19.38 axle. I found them on lonestars website but they dont offer a complete unit with cv joints. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I have an 07 Arctic Cat 400. Non DVX. It’ll turn over and backfire through the carb. I have verified timing, tried in both positions. 180 out. Carb is clean but it’s an EBay special. But I have tried another carb (different from a 350 Rancher) with the exact same results. I have also verified valve lash, good fuel, good plug, compression is about 110. I’m about to my ends with this things?!? Any ideas?

  3. Hey guys it’s been awhile since I’ve posted! But I’ve finally started part time business working on atvs SXS bikes etc.... Question is, if you was to purchase inventory what would you purchase and for what makes? I’m looking to make a big order on parts and seeing what others have ran into parts wise. Wanting to stock up on the basics. Thanks for any and all input! You guys rock and love the forum!

  4. Kawasaki Prairie 700 is the machine. It’s starts and runs but has a miss. After running it til it’s warm, it’s start smoking like your spraying for mosquitoes. Has oil in the breather also. Checked compressions and getting low 40psi both holes. I know this has a decompression lobe. Any other ideas? Leak down check? I’m guessing it pretty much has to be rings. With it blowing oil back into the breather. Normal typical sign I suppose?

  5. Yes, valves seals and lapped the valves. Valves guides were ok. I believe I’m good to go now, I’ll let it sit over night before I add oil again, RTV the case...... Don’t bash, I know it’s frowned up on. And I’ll try again. The smoking did seem to clear up right before I pulled it back apart. I’m sure it was just residual.

  6. Here’s a pic of the adjuster screw, I’ve destroyed it trying to turn it. It moved some but now nothing. Here’s the oil also. I’ve always used standard oil, with no additives. No saying it’s wrong but never had problems before? Just all of the sudden now

  7. Ok so.... finally got it all back together. Started right up. Smoking now?!? And put it in gear and it’s slipping barely pull. WTF this thing is gonna get the best of me. Why you clutches be slipping? I changed absolutely nothing besides a clutch basket. Is there some kind of adjustment? I torqued the springs to 9lb ft as the manual says. Even the smoking has me stumped it smoked none before the chain pulled its little deal, maybe it’ll clear up. But any ideas on the slipping?

  8. Well finally got the parts and everything re assembled except for the clutches due to a cracked basket. But turned it over and now have great compression! Side note, these things are an absolute nightmare trying to install the timing chain. Its a good struggle for sure. Thanks for the help guys!

  9. I pulled belt cover and sprayed starter fluid behind the clutch while it was running, with no effect in rpms. Also sprayed all of the carb and intake boot, along with pull start start of the crank. Nothing caused a spike in rpm. Would the muffler having the end cut off cause the rpms to hang from lean condition? I know on 4 strokes, specially cruiser bikes if you cut the pipes you usually have to rejet it....
