Did this ever get resolved? If so, please share the fix. If not, have you tried replacing the ignition switch by any chance? I read a similar post in a different forum and the guy ended up taking it to the Dealer, who traced it down to the Ignition Switch within 30 minutes.

I know that this is an old post. Could this also apply to a 2019 Sportsman XP 1000 HighLifter? If so, would someone be able to upload a photo of the location of this metal strip? Thanks
How did you get into Quads?

My family couldn't afford these types of toys when I was a kid. After I grew up, I got a job in the IT Field, started making a decent living, but still couldn't afford to buy a new quad. I ended up moving out of the City and into a rural area, where I now have a 2019 Sportsman XP1000 Highlifter Edition. I absolutely love it and wish that I would have gotten started earlier on in life.
