  1. This is my first quad. Gonna be a project but I enjoy wrenching on things. First step is get the parking brake unstuck. She’s been sitting awhile but overall looks decent shape. Had a really easy life as per old owner. Was used to moved trailers around only. Looking forward to getting it back running.
  2. It is not recommended going much more than 2 inches of body lift. I personally am not a fan of body lifts in general but if you’re just trying to get a little more clearance for tires it is an economical way to go. At that height I don’t think you’re gonna have to mess with anything else. The hidden costs might come in the extra work and or repairs needed once you start trying to remove the old pucks. Of course that depends entirely on the condition of your rig.
  3. Welcome! I just got my first atv as well. And it’s also a klf300. Will be following along
  4. Welcome aboard. Can’t beat that price!
  5. Ticks are no joke! I would recommend using permethrin to help avoid them. Treat your cloths not your body. Soak your riding gear in it and let it dry. It’s good for a few weeks or a few washes. Only thing I’ve found that actually seems to work.
  6. Just wanted to thank everyone who provided manuals on this site. Going to be an invaluable resource to keep these old girls running. Only few more posts and I can read them 😆
  7. New guy here from Long Island New York. Just acquired a 2000 klf300. Grew up wrenching on dirt bikes, moved onto Jeeps and cars. Picked up this project as a toy to take to some family owned land in Vermont to tool around on. Been sitting for years so needs to be gone through but looks clean for it’s age. Pics to come!
